A few ways to change your focus to help you stress less!

Happy Monday! This past weekend we visited our granddaughters and celebrated all of the wonderful dads in our world. Life is short so take the time to celebrate big and small things in your life. Today, I am providing a few ways to change your focus to help you stress less!

Stress is a tricky thing. It can sneak up on you and turn your world completely upside down. I remember when I was growing up and my grandfather would always ask me, “what do you know?”

As a young girl, I always felt compelled to tell everything that was happening in my life, good and bad.

My youngest granddaughter loves puzzles. She looks at each piece closely and studies them. She focuses on every detail in the puzzle pieces until she has it all put together.

What are you focused on? My focus determines my stress level. When I focus on my problems, my mind and my heart fill with fear and frustration.

Hebrews 12:2 says, “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Colossians 3: 2 says, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

Psalms 103 encourages us to remember all of the benefits of God! Gratefully thank and praise God for all of His goodness!

Friends, today is the day to change our focus! We have so many things to be grateful for! Please continue to follow my blog at kamzinsser.com.

Focus on Peace Instead of Worry!

There is so much going on in the world that keeps us upset. The Devil certainly knows how to push our buttons. I catch myself starting to worry about things even though I know it doesn’t do me any good. Worry is a total waste of my time. The definition of worry includes giving way to anxiety and allowing one’s mind to dwell on difficulty and troubles. When we worry we are giving in to fear. I pray that you will focus on peace instead of worry!

The Bible says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Wow, I love this Scripture because when we focus on prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving we will receive the peace of God. If God tells us not to worry, that means we can do something about our worry. We can decide to focus on something other than our worries. Such as focusing on peace.

As we near Christmas, I think God wants us to focus more on the peace that only He can give. The angels proclaimed, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests” Luke 2:14.

Let this year be more about a focus on peace instead of worry. I am learning to take one day at a time. Please come back to check out my blog at kamzinsser.com.

Are you struggling with your focus?

Are you struggling with your focus?

Are you struggling with your focus? This year has certainly been a little crazy and I admit there are many days that I struggle to stay on target! What are you focused on?

Fix your mind on the good news…

For example, I know better but I still catch myself focusing on the breaking news instead of the good news. I confess it is so easy to get off track because of so many distractions.

If you are like me, you have notifications or alerts set on your phone whenever there is breaking news. I might be in the middle of something important but stop to check my phone. My focus is completely lost!

Concentrate on what really matters…

We tend to get distracted by things that don’t really matter. Focus is not always 2020. Therefore, I have to work on my priorities if I’m going to expect to receive God’s resources. I struggle with my focus!

Focus on God!

Matthew 6:33 states, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
