Happy Monday! I trust your week is off to a great start. Personally, Mondays have always presented a challenge for me. In my younger years, Saturdays were dedicated to catching up on unfinished tasks from the week, and Sundays were reserved for church and family time. By Sunday evening, fatigue had already set in. Life’s storms can be tough, but maintaining your faith is key to navigating them successfully. Shake off the fatigue – you’ve got this!
Let me share one of my favorite Bible stories from Acts 28. After surviving a harrowing storm and shipwreck, Paul found himself in Malta. As if the shipwreck weren’t enough, Paul gathered brushwood, ignited a fire, and a viper slithered out. The viper latched onto Paul’s hand, but he calmly shook it off into the fire, suffering no harm.
In the midst of the storm, it seemed like the Devil had the upper hand, but God orchestrated a turnaround. When the viper seized Paul’s hand, the soldiers likely thought his fate was sealed, yet Paul emerged unscathed.
Despite being a righteous man, Paul faced numerous storms. Proverbs 24:16 reminds us, “for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.” We can rise again in times of disaster. What was intended to destroy you can propel you toward your destiny.
Have faith in God!
Happy Monday! I hope that you week is off to a fantastic start. As we near the end of September, I’m eagerly anticipating the end of this excessive heat. This week, let’s dive into a topic that’s close to my heart; navigating life with a fragrant perspective.
During my young adult years, I worked as a perfume model. I’d approach random people, asking if they’d like to try the fragrance of the day. Spritzing it onto a card and handing it to them was the routine. By the end of the day, I often found myself nursing a headache.
Then I learned a better way to wear perfume-to spray it into the air and walk into the mist. It’s a bit like how we approach life with God’s Word and praise, navigating life with a fragrant perspective.
One particular scripture that brings me comfort and guidance is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
Living by faith, as the Bible calls us to; may seem like an insurmountable task. But it’s achievable when we meditate on the Word of God and speak it into our lives daily.
Personally, I aspire to live in an atmosphere of praise. It’s a place where gratitude flows naturally, and faith finds fertile ground to grow.

Hello friends and happy Monday! This week, we experienced a close call with a fire near our house, reminding us of life’s unpredictable nature. It’s challenging to prepare for such emergencies. What would you pack in a crisis? Thankfully, with the help of first responders and the grace of God, the fire was extinguished. This week, let’s talk about navigating the atmospheric chaos of life.
In times of uncertainty, I often turn to Philippians 4:6-7 stated, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Life is undeniably chaotic, and it’s easy to say we shouldn’t worry, but much harder not to. Do you find yourself worrying or feeling anxious?
How are you navigating the atmospheric chaos of life?
Have you ever noticed that before a storm, there’s a drop in air pressure? Similarly, when we face life’s storms, we experience a shift in our emotional spiritual atmosphere.
In the same way when we are going through the storm of life, there is a change in the atmospheric pressure.
So, what should we do when we feel a storm coming? As children of God, we have every right to shout “peace be still.” In fact, if you are going through a storm right now, say “peace be still” out loud. This will give the Devil a swift kick.
Sometimes we have to do this continually, but let me tell you, it does work. Allow the grace of God to work in your life.

Hello friends! Here we are in the middle of August. Time is truly going by quickly. Summer is almost over and I am personally happy to see it go. This Summer has been a hot one. Today I am talking about what to do when you feel stuck!
Have you ever felt like you can’t see a way out of a problem? I have many times in my life.
Joseph had so many bad things happen to him but he never gave up. If you are unfamiliar with Joseph, you can find more about him in the book of Genesis 37-50.
The bottom line, Joseph persevered and didn’t give up!
What do you do when you feel stuck? We can take a few lessons from Joseph.
In our lives we may fall into a pit sometimes. But Jesus gives us hope. Read John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
God doesn’t promise us a perfect life. But he can take all that bad and turn it around for good.

Hello friends! I hope that you are having a great week. I am certainly ready for a some cooler weather. This week I am discussing how people cannot read your mind. They need to hear your words.
Psalm 100:4 says to, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name!”
As a small child my parents often reminded me to say thank you. I’m sure there were many times that I didn’t feel like saying thank you but I did it anyway.
Saying thank seems so easy but I rarely hear it being said. People cannot read your mind. They need to hear our thank you.
In the same way, God needs to hear us say thank you instead of treating Him as our drive through prayer order. Stop to thank Him for what He has already done.
We should go to God every day, and enter His gates with thanksgiving and be thankful. Having a grateful heart is something that we need to do on a daily basis. Even when we don’t feel like it.

Hello Friends! Every where we look there are so many crazy things going on. Fear can cause you to remain in one place!
When I was little we had a bit metal slide on the school playground. I was so scared of heights so I never slid down the big slide. Every day I watched my friends slide down the big slide until one day I slid down the slide.
I overcame my fear!
We can not live in faith and be fearful at the same time.
Fear can cause you to remain in one place, but courage can help you step out.
Isaiah 41:10 states: So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

I remember when I was little and my mom took me to the local clinic to get my vaccine. All I could think about at the time was how bad it was going to hurt. I was literally crying my eyes out and I hadn’t even received my vaccine. A man came up to us in line and offered me a lifesaver. Even thought the shot hurt, somehow that lifesaver made everything better.
What is your go to when bad things happen?
When I was little all I needed was a lifesaver!
Philippians 4:6-7 states, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
When I’m tempted to do something other than go to the throne, I am reminded of this scripture.
Talk to God just like you talk to your friends. Tell Him about the things you are going through and how you feel.
He really wants to know. He desires to have a relationship with you on a daily basis not just on Sundays.

Every where I turn, people are going through some hard times. The words that come out of their mouth is I can’t catch a break. Me too!
Friends it is so easy to get caught up in the lies of the devil. He tells us that we are never going to get out of these storms and he seems to knows just the right time to say these things.
2 Kings 20:1-11 tells us of a man named Hezekiah who because ill and was going to die. He prayed to God and spoke the truth through his tears. Through a process, Hezekiah was healed.
Friends this storm will not consume you. Things that look dark can change in a minute. Look up to God and ask Him to deliver you. Be obedient to His instruction. Challenge these shadows in your life.
Don’t give up on your dreams and what you are praying for!

Hello Friends! I was listening to a podcast a few days ago about going through storms. It is difficult to always look for a silver lining. However, the Word of God says for us to be positive in the midst of a storm. How do we do that? God tells us in the Bible.
Friends, are you going through a storm?
Storms make us weary. It seems that sometimes we just get through one storm and another one pops up.
How do we stay positive when it seems like all hell is breaking loose in our lives? I can tell you from experience, it isn’t easy. Staying focused on the positive in the midst of a storm can be a minute by minute process.
In Numbers 13, Moses sent in 12 men to check out the Promised Land. After 40 days, ten of them came back all negative and defeated. However, Caleb and Joshua were more positive and they believed they were more than able to overtake the giants.
I wanted to be more like Caleb. Dare to be a Caleb or a Joshua. If you are going through something today, stay in hope and trust God that He will take care of you.

Hello friends! Are you going through some struggles? It seems to be with everyone. I was listening to a podcast and one of the things that stood out to me was whatever you are going through, don’t give up. Friends, don’t give up, help is on the way!
You might be wondering as I am at times in my life, why we all have so many problems. It seems we just get past one problem and another one pops up.
It is so hard to have joy in the midst of struggles. Where is the joy?
A few days ago, I passed a vegetable and fruit stand on the side of the road. I turned my car around and went back to see what the lady was selling. She had plums and squash, yummy! In the course of our conversation, she said she used to sell at the farmer’s market but due to health reasons she had to stop. She said she couldn’t even can her fruits and vegetables like she did before. So, she decided to put up a tent and sell at her house.
She didn’t give up!
John 16:33 says, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Friends you may be going through something today and you feel like giving up. Don’t give up, help is on the way.
God is our help when we have trouble. Look up because He will help you get through whatever you are going through.

Lately, I have been doing a lot of thinking and talking to God.
One thing I love about the Spring season is the many beautiful treasures that God provides such as the wild flowers on the side of the road. I took a short road trip over the weekend and I was so happy to see the bluebonnets in bloom.

Life is filled with so many amazing things!
Luke 12:27, “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.”
When we take time to admire all of the wonders that God has provided, we would realize how much He loves us. Just think about that!
Make time for God not only in His word but in the beauty that He provides.

Happy Spring and happy Monday! Friends, I can’t believe we are already in the Spring season. Spring is probably my favorite season of the year. Life doesn’t seem to slow down. Today, I am sharing tips on staying focused in the busyness of life!
1 Peter 5:8 states, “Be sober, be alert and cautious at all times, that enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”
Distractions are everywhere. Just when I think I’ve set an appointment with God, something comes up.
Spending time with God takes a purposeful effort. Once you make a decision to spend time with God, the enemy will throw all kinds of distractions at you.
I believe, if we would implement these tips on staying focused in the busyness of life, we would see a big change.
God help me to not get distracted by time wasters!

Happy Monday! It is the last few days of February. I’m ready for March. This week I am talking about something that is near and dear to my heart and mind: worry, worry, it seems that’s all I do!
If you watch or read the news any at all, you understand how I feel.
When I put negativity in my mind, I start to get anxious. When my kids were little, I worried about everything. My thoughts were “once my kids were grown, I wouldn’t have to worry anymore.” Wrong!
Matthew 6:34 states, “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
So, how do I stop worrying?
I can tell you it isn’t easy. I believe it is a thought process change. It is a constant casting our care on the Lord.
I start my day with giving my thoughts to God by reading the Word and praying.
I have found that throughout the day, I need to talk to God. Things always happen in my day that tempt me to take my problems back.
Philippians 4:6-7 states, “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Find scriptures about worry in the Bible. Write them on sticky notes and put them on your bathroom mirror. When you start to worry, read these scriptures over and over. I promise it will help you.

Happy Monday, friends! We are already into February. I hope that your Monday is going well. This week I am talking on peeling back the layers to reveal new life.
I have been in real estate for a while now and have seen a few renovations. My husband and I have been through a few projects at our home. I have seen many projects where people have taken up the carpet in their home and find hard wood flooring or scrap wall paper off the wall to find shiplap. Even still, we do love to update our homes with the new trends.
To peel back the layers, it takes some tearing down which is truly painful.
I believe this is what God does for us. As we continue to study God words, He continues to peel back the layers of hurt, deception, and lies from the enemy.
Once these areas that weighed us down is peeled back, God replaces them with peace, love, and joy. All of our value and worth come from God.
Isaiah 54:11 states, “O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will set thy stones in fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.”
I believe this is the year of restoration. It is time to restore what is old and peeling back the layers to reveal new life.
God will rebuild you with precious jewels. May you week full of the peace of God!
Happy Monday! I hope that your week is starting out well. January is going by quickly. This week I am talking about something that has been on my heart over the last months and that is fear. It’s so easy to allow fear to overtake you.
Growing up, I have always watched the news. In fact, once you start watching it, you get sucked in by all the negativity. By the time, you finish the news program, you walk away feeling terrible and full of fear.
I have found, it’s not enough for me to start my day with the positive word of God. Something always happens in my day and I start to worry and fear.
I believe that there is a debilitating fear that Satan tries to put on us every day. I always thought that fear was a feeling. I know now it’s a spirit. But it’s so easy to allow fear to overtake you!
We can’t live in faith and fear at the same time.
In 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
I would much rather live in faith. I have found in my life that I need Jesus throughout my day. When fear comes, I go to the word of God. I believe that putting the word of God on repeat is key to getting through the day.
If you are new to the word of God, try reading one scripture a day. Start with 2 Timothy 1:7 or read a chapter in Psalm. Sign up for a daily devotion.
Make time for God throughout your day!
Happy Monday and Happy New Years to you. We are well into 2023 and I hope that you are well. Over the next weeks, I want to talk about something that seems to be rare in today’s world. I hope that you will join me.
In the 1960s, Brian Piccolo tried out for the Chicago Bears as a free agent. Brian worked hard over the next four years and was promoted to backup tailback behind Gale Sayers. Piccolo started experiencing breathing difficulty which led to removal from the game. He was diagnosed with embryonal cell carcinoma. Piccolo underwent surgery but the cancer spread. When the league recognized Gale Sayers with the George Halas Award, Sayers acknowledged his friend and teammate, Piccolo in his speech. He said that he loved Brian Piccolo, asked them to love him too, and to pray for him.
Sayers didn’t want the night to be about him and his accomplishments. His heart and mind was on his friend and what he was going through. This is rare in today’s world.
The Oxford Dictionary defines Kindness as “the quality of being friendly, generous and considerate.”
I believe it is so much more!
While the definition is a great start, being kind requires so much more of us.
Mark 12:31 states, “The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”
This week I challenge you to reach out to friends that you haven’t heard from in a while.

Happy Monday! Christmas is a time that we focus on giving. Every year, it is always a mad dash to have all of my Christmas shopping done, food prep complete, and all the presents wrapped. Tis the season for giving!
I start early in the year buying gifts for all of my family. However, it never seems like there is enough time.
God says in His word that our giving should be year round. Luke 4:38 says, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
When I read this, I used to think this only applied to my money. I have learned over the years that it applies to so much more than just a season of giving and my money!
For starters, time is a very important thing we can give. It may be a phone call to a friend or loved one. Or even, making a dinner for people that are sick.
Whatever it is, try giving all throughout the year. Don’t wait until Christmas to give.

When I focus on the bad things, it always makes me feel down.
Paul urges us to set our minds on things about in Colossians 3:2, “ Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”
This doesn’t mean that we only think about heaven. We should be focusing on the positive. If you have at least one good thing going on in your life, be grateful.
I think the Devil likes us to get busy with life and forget to stop and be thankful. I always love it when I see people pull over the side of the road to enjoy the beauty of God.
My day is so much better when I start with the positive.

When I was younger I would make decisions quickly and not take the time to think things through. Needless to say, I ended up making some bad decisions and I didn’t take the time to pray about it.
Over the years, I have learned it is important to pray about everything.
How do I know what God’s will is for my life? God wants me to take the time to ask Him what He thinks before I make any decision.
Colossians 3:15 states, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”
The idea of peace ruling my hearts makes me happy. God is not a God of disorder.
When we make decisions it is important to follow peace. When we fail to follow peace we have to live with the consequences.
Tis the season for peace not chaos.
So how do I know what God’s will is for my life? I will have a deep sense of peace in my heart.

Busy here, busy there. Do you find yourself saying this on a daily basis? Yeah, me too! Our focus gets lost in the cares of the day!
When someone asks you about your day do you respond, “I’m so busy.”
I have realized in the last month that I cannot allow my busy schedule to get in the way of my time with God even if I have to get earlier. I never really understood what it meant to pray without ceasing.
My grandparents prayed throughout the day. But, I believed that if I devoted some time to God during the day I was pleasing God. On many days, I allowed myself to get focused on the cares of the day and would forget about my time with God!
I soon realized my time that I had set aside wasn’t enough. I had to get past my thoughts that I was a bother to God if I asked Him for little things.
Including God in every area of my life wasn’t easy and still isn’t.
You know what, I learned that God cares about the tiniest things in our lives such as a parking place at the grocery store.
So, make time throughout your day for God! He wants to be a part of everything.

Philippians 4:13 states, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Are you feeling weary today? Yeah me too!
God doesn’t promise that everything will be easy. He does promise that He will be with us with we go through the trials of life. Friends, these trials will come and during these trials I think I can most of the time.
If God calls you to it, He will give you the grace to get through it. God has so much grace and I am so grateful.
I believe every time we have a positive mindset, we get stronger and stronger. It won’t be easy at first but over time, we will have that “I can” attitude not the “I can’t.”
Friends, don’t give up if you are going through a trial. Stay in faith and know that God is with you and He gives you the strength you need to make it through the day.

Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
We all worry! When we worry, we focus on the wrong things. We lean on our own means to solve the problem.
The cause of worry is pretty simple. We stop putting our faith and trust in God. How do I trust God completely and not worry?
God has the solutions for everything and His solutions are so much better than ours. When we put our trust in God, we can rest in knowing that He’s got us.
Our goal for today and everyday is to stop worrying which requires us to learn a new way of life. Who is with me? Say “I trust God completely.”
Happy Monday! We are ending the month of August. It seems August has flown by. It has been a super busy month at my house. I think along with busy, we can have so many troubles. When I start having trouble I start to doubt and question. Today I declare I will stop doubting and concentrate on the promises!
Friends are you being attacked? It seems like once I pray through one attack, another one starts.
Matthew 16:16 states, “Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” In Matthew, the disciples knew Jesus was the Son of the living.
When we stand on the promises of God’s word, we can put our trust in the Son of the living God.
Friends, it is so easy to doubt when we are being attacked or when we look at the chaos of the world. Continuous prayer and praise is the only way we can keep doubt from entering our mind and hearts.

Happy Monday, Friends! August is always a busy month with the start of school and the end of Summer. I don’t have little ones at home but I still love to shop for school supplies. I never grow tired of shopping for fun desk supplies. It’s so easy to allow ourselves to be negative. Oh we can always find something to complain about. I am learning through it all, a positive me is a powerful me!
Do you see the glass half full or half empty? When I was little, I might allow myself to get down for a short while but I always picked myself back up. I read a story about an organization offering money for wolves that were captured. Two little boys decided to camp out and wait for the wolves to come. One had fallen asleep but the other boy stayed awake. When the wolves came, one of the boys woke the other and said, “we’re rich.” He could have been scared and ran away but he saw it as an opportunity.
Philippians 4:8 states, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
What opportunity are you passing up in your life because you are seeing all of the negative?
Many times I have allowed my negativity to take over and missed out on a great opportunity. Also, when that negativity seeps in, it’s hard to get out. Let’s be honest, it’s hard to see the bright side sometimes.
Make a commitment today to be a positive person. The more positive you are, the more powerful you will be!

Happy Monday! As I enter the Fall season, I feel like I am running a race. The month of July went by so quickly. There is always so much to do. I try really hard to get everything done. However, I always seem to come up short. I fail to realize that it’s not God that wants me to be perfect, it’s me! He doesn’t want perfection from us!
Colossians 2:13 states, “When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (worldliness, manner of life), God made you alive together with Christ, having [freely] forgiven us all our sins.”
Are you feeling tired? Yeah, me too!
As I read Colossians 2:13 this week, I pondered how this applied to me. It was a great reminder that God’s forgiveness is never ending. He already knows our thoughts and decisions. So, all of these are covered.
He wants a heart that truly loves Him!
I don’t know about you today, but I need a daily reminder of this. I don’t have to be perfect for Jesus to love and accept me.
In Christ, I have what I need and find my value and worth.

Happy Monday, friends! I hope that you have had a good start to the month of August. When I think of August I always think about the start of school. Pray for all kids who are starting school soon. This week, I am talking about why is it important to keep watering?
When we think about watering, we think about watering our seeds that we plant whether in a garden or in a pot. This year, I started a small garden that yielded a few tomatoes which made me feel accomplished. If I had forgotten to water, my tomato plant would have died.
Just like we water seeds that become plants and yield fruit, we can grow spiritual seeds by watering with the Word of God.
Colossians 2:6-7 states, “Continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught overflowing with thankfulness.”
To be strong in the Lord we must continue to water seeds with the Word of God.
Our faith is built when we study the Word of God and rely on that Word every day.
Keep watering and don’t give up!

Happy Monday! We are now into August and Summer is almost over. I don’t know about you, but I am ready for some cooler weather and we need rain badly. This week I am talking about the truth! So many things are happening around us. But, there is one thing I know to be true!
The internet has made spreading ideas and thoughts so easy. When we have a question, we go to the internet to look it up. Don’t get me wrong, I love being able to find information so quickly. However, just because I can find it quickly doesn’t make it true.
One thing that I have been thinking about lately is the truth. Many people say things have changed so what was truth many years ago is not necessarily the truth today. I do agree that some things have changed over the years.
However, Isaiah in the Bible testified many years ago, “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” Isaiah 40:8.
One thing I know to be true is God’s word never changes.
What does this mean? We can go to God’s word and believe in His promises. We can trust that God will take care of us and will always be with us.
Focusing on these truths will get us through any storm we face.

Happy Monday! I’ve been off for a few weeks and its great to be back. I hope that you are having a great Summer. I can’t believe Summer is almost over and school will be starting soon. This week, I am talking about who is determining your worth and value. What are you believing about yourself?
Colossians 1:13-14 states, “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
I love how it says that God has “rescued us from the dominion of darkness.” He has already done this for us. God has given us so many gifts and I want to focus on one today.
God sent His son to die on the cross for us. He loves us so much! We were bought with a price, the blood of Jesus Christ.
When I feel I don’t have any value, I think about what Jesus did for me.
Friends, you are valued. Jesus loves you so much. When you feel down, focus on what God has done for you. He has given us so much.

Happy Independence Day! Wow, I can’t believe we are already in July. This week is not only the 4th of July but my parent’s anniversary on the 5th. I have always loved the month of July. However, it can be hard to celebrate the holidays when you are going through some trials. The bottom line, being rooted gets you through!
Over the last few weeks, I have been reading about inner strength. On days when I don’t feel good, I pray for God to give me strength.
However, the more that I study the Word of God, I am becoming stronger. The bottom line, being rooted gets you through!
Colossians 2:6-7, “So then, just as you received Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.“
Let’s dissect these verses just a bit. I like the part about being “rooted and built up in Him.” Paul is referring to the inward self. We tend to worry more about our outward self. In fact, we spend more time and money making our outward self look the best but forget about your inward self.
The more time we spend in the Word and talking to God, our roots become more and more grounded. I don’t know about you, but I want to be grounded in Christ.
Also, having the right mindset will help us get through the toughest of times. I know this one is a tough one. It is so easy to give into the negativity of the world. I catch myself doing this almost every day.
But when we choose to stay positive and joyful, it makes the day go so much better.
Don’t let these challenges steal your joy. Bottom line, it’s important to stay rooted in the Word of God! Because the knowledge that you gain from the Word will make you stronger as long as you apply it.

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I spent the weekend doing the things around the house to prep for the start of the week. One think I enjoy doing on the weekends is spending time with my husband. It is important to stay positive in the middle of the chaos. I like starting off my mornings with the saying, I’m expecting something great is going to happen today.
What does faith mean to you? Faith to me means putting my trust in God and not trying to figure things out on my own. I spend way too much time trying to figure things out instead of praying about it.
When in truth, I should have confidence and hope for something great to happen everyday.
The people in the church in Colossians were known for their faith. Colossians 1:4 states, “Because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people.”
It would be amazing to be known for your faith and love for others. One of my favorite verse in the Bible is Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as a real fact what is not revealed to the senses]”
Expect something great to happen today!
Here’s the great news, we can choose to believe God’s Word and be confident by faith that things will be okay even when we don’t see it.

Happy Monday! I hope that your weekend was great! Gosh it’s been so hot here. It makes me want to stay inside. Friends, how are you doing? It seems like everything is one big mess!
It’s been a bit rough at our house. First, our refrigerator went out. Second we had an ant outbreak. Lastly, we have had some issues with our air conditioner.
These and more are the things in life that try to steal our joy. When all of life seems to be falling apart and you think it just can’t get any worse, it does.
Talk about trouble, Jonah in the Bible sure had his share. God told Jonah to go to Nineveh to preach but he didn’t want to go. He headed in the opposite direction toward Tarshish. But oh my he never quite make it. You may know the story but Jonah ended up in the belly of the whale. Jonah was having more than a bad day. He was in a big mess. To read the story read Jonah 1.
Talk about a joy stealer. Jonah was probably as low as anyone can get.
Jonah started to pray. Jonah 2: 1-2, “From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the Lord his God. He said: in my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry. Sometime we forget to pray. In fact we try everything else besides going to God to ask for help when we should be doing that first.”

Try including God in all of your decisions. He cares about what we care about. He just wants us to include Him in our lives.

Happy Monday! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend. In a world filled with a whole lot of confusion and chaos, we all need a little grace! Grace brings peace and joy to our lives.
For many years, I lived my life in condemnation. Every time I made a mistake, I put myself down. What I didn’t realize, that self condemnation was eating away at my confidence, peace, and joy.
What I didn’t realize then, was God gives us grace to forgive ourselves from mistakes. He doesn’t want us to live in condemnation. Philippians 4:7 states, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Do you show yourself grace when you fail and make mistakes?
When we are at our worst, we need God’s grace. Even at our best, we need to have God’s grace in our lives.
I figured out over time, that I need peace and joy from God to make it. In my own strength, I can’t do anything.
When we have the grace of God, we also have peace and joy in our lives. I don’t know about you, but I need joy and peace. Romans 14:17 states, “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
God offers us peace, grace, and joy everyday of our lives. Accept it!

Happy June! Summer is always a time of rest for me. I love all the tastes of Summer such as the snow cones and the homemade ice cream. Friends as we head into the Summer season, don’t worry, it’s never too late to make a change!
Friends, it is never too late to do a little Spring cleaning. Summer is probably my most favorite time to do some Spring cleaning.
In the same way, we clean out our homes, we can actually clean up our unhealthy habits. What unhealthy habits is God asking you to clean out? I admit that I tend to struggle with worry. Many times, I lay my worries down and then go back and pick them up.
It is so easy to get caught up in our worries and forget we have access to someone that takes our worries away. Don’t worry, it’s never too late to make a change.
Isaiah 41:10 states, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
The Bible tells us to not fear because God will give us strength. At the foundation of my worries, is fear. I know that I need to trust God, but sometimes it is so hard. I know that God loves me so much because the Bible tells me. However, there are times that I don’t feel loved.
When I truly allow the Word of God to seep in my heart, I feel God’s love. But when I put up walls, I don’t!
Luke 12:24 states, “Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!”
Friends, we are valuable to God. He loves us so much.
Instead of worry, concentrate on the love of God today.

Happy Tuesday! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend. My grands came into town over the weekend. It is always a good time when the grands are here. Friends, how are you doing? I admit, I am feeling a lot of sadness. Good grief we just need a minute to process.
With all that is going on in the world right now, I would be overwhelmed with grief if it wasn’t for God.
2 Corinthians 7:6 states, “But God, who comforts and encourages the depressed and the disquieted, comforted us by the arrival of Titus.”
Friends we can be encouraged today because we know a God that comforts and encourages us. He never leaves us. God earnestly cares for us but good grief we just need a minute to process.
Going back to what we know gives us comfort that God will be and is always with us. The God who comforts and encourages, comforts me.
Take a minute to process and think about all of the things that God has brought you through. He will never stop.
Hello friends and happy Monday! I hope your weekend was great. With all of the chaos around us, it is so easy to give up. However, faith brings endurance.
Last week, our refrigerator went out and we lost some of our food. Second, we had some electrical issues. Lastly, we had a fire ant outbreak in our kitchen. Just thinking and writing about these problems makes stresses me out. It would have been so easy to give up but I had to deal with it.
James 1:2-4 provides some hope when we are dealing with trials. Our attitude is key when going through trials. I think James must have realized that and through it was important.
“Consider it nothing by joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trails. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing.” (James 1:2-4)
Friends, we all go through trials and oh my goodness they are painful. However, these trials develop the character of Christ in us. Praying our way through these trials may not make them go away any faster but will give us the strength to endure.
My attitude and relying on verses such as Philippians 4:13 is key to getting through all of my trials.
God will not leave us stuck in our troubles. Without the test, there will never be a good testimony. Trust God because He will never let us down.

Happy Monday friends! We are now into the month of May. The month of May is probably one of my favorite months of the year. In this week’s blog, I am talking about praise. Do you love to sing? Do you have times in your life that the joy of the Lord spills over into song? There is never a better time to get our praise on!
Let’s face it, we live in uncertain times. It is a struggle on many days to find something good in the world. If we only focus on the things of the world and how we feel, we would never find anything to be joyful about.
Psalm 18: 2-3 states, “The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise; and I have been saved from my enemies.”
The Lord is always stable and never changing and we are supposed to imitate Him.
In the good times, praise the Lord! In the bad times, praise the Lord! There is never a better time to get our praise on!
What music do you listen to? One of my new favorites is Endless Praise by Charity Gayle.
If you aren’t already, I urge you to fill your life with praise. On your drive to work, turn on your favorite praise and worship music. When you get home from a long day, tune into your favorite radio station.
God doesn’t care about your singing voice. He only cares about our heart! Praise will make your days go so much better.

Happy Monday, friends. As we near the end of April, I hope that the month of May will be amazing. This time of year, I love seeing the flowers grow. In fact, I take time out of my day to take pictures of flowers growing in my yard. Many of you may be planting a garden or maybe some flowers. You planted a seed now what?
This year, I am trying to grow a few vegetables in pots on the back patio. When you plant a seed, it is so hard to wait and I admit that I am not very patient.
No matter how hard I try to hurry the growing process, I cannot do it. If I were to try, I would only be frustrated.
Mark 4:26-27 states, “He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.“
Friends when you plant a seed, we can’t see what is going on under the soil. We have faith and trust the seeds we plant will grow into something beautiful.
We spend time watering our seeds and waiting.
This same principle applies to our lives. You planted a seed now what?
You may not feel like you are moving forward and you may actually feel stuck.
We grow so gradually that we can’t see the growth. I can tell you, that God is working. If we ask God to help us, He will.
Don’t give up! Keep moving forward. Celebrate the harvest!

Happy Monday friends! I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend. As I write this, I am preparing for a visit from our grands. Social media is a wonderful tool for everyone to stay in touch. However, it is also a place where we spend too much time comparing ourselves to others. We are not called to compare ourselves to others!
Many times, I start my day out reading about the amazing lives of all of my Facebook friends which is not a great way to start a day.
This leads me to start thinking about all of the things that are wrong with me instead of all of the things that are right with me.
I forget about the problems that everyone is going through. Let’s face it, we all have problems.
Even Peter compare himself to others, “Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me” (John 21:22).
The bottom line, I am supposed to compare myself to other people. When I do, it brings condemnation to my life.
We are all uniquely and wonderfully made! Focus on God’s wisdom and goodness!

Happy Monday! I hope that your weekend was great. As I reflect over my last week, I admit it has been a busy one. There were times when I felt like I was being pulled in all different directions and I have caught myself grumbling and complaining. It’s so easy to constantly complain about things.
We have been through a rough two years. In fact, it doesn’t look like things are getting better.
God does answer our prayers but doesn’t answer complaints. On many days it is so easy to focus more on our problems then our blessings.
When we complain, we are literally wasting our time. Complaining does not change one thing about our life.
I don’t have a bubbly personality so it is hard for me to be positive all of the time. I have to work at being positive and thankful because it’s so easy to constantly complain about things.
1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 states, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Being thankful is not a one time thing. It is something that we do throughout the day. A prayer of thanksgiving is the kind of prayer that Jesus answers.
Philippians 4:6-7 states, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

Go to God with thanksgiving. No matter how bad it gets, God is still good and we are blessed!

Happy Monday, Friends! I hope that your week is off to a great start! This is probably my most favorite time of year. I love all of the flowers. Spring is the time to just make somebody happy!
I remember when my boys would pick flowers from the yard to give to me. In a small way, they wanted to make me happy.
Ephesians 2:10 states, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
What are you doing to make somebody happy?
For starters, we need to get our minds off of ourselves which can be so hard. Even as an adult, we constantly think about the next greatest upgrade in all things.
We constantly find excuses to purchase a new phone, a car, or even a new home.
I admit, that I have been guilty in this area of my life.
There is nothing wrong with doing things for ourselves. However, we are so much happier when we do for others.
We need some kindness in this world. Take a minute to be the one who spreads kindness.

Happy Monday and happy Spring! I hope that your weekend was great. Do you wake up thinking negative thoughts? Have you ever been driving in your care and those negative thoughts start flooding your mind? When this happens, it can cause fear to creep into your life. It is a constant battle. However, to overcome these negative thoughts, it’s better to start your day with something positive.
One of my favorite things in the Spring, are the beautiful flowers that pop up everywhere. I love my rose bushes and day lilies.
Flowers must have a few things to grow. If they aren’t rooted in the ground correctly, they would die. Also, without water and sun they wouldn’t grow into a beautiful flower.
Friends, in the same way we should be rooted and grounded in our faith.
Without the Word of God to water our soul, our foundation is weak. The Word of God is a lamp that shines bright. Starting our day with God, will provide that strong foundation we need to get through our day.
We can’t grow without a strong foundation.
The Bible says in Romans 12:2 states, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Set aside time every day to renew your mind. Friends, it’s better to start your day with something positive! Give it a try!

Life happens to all of us. Wow, just looking around the world, life is hard. We can always find someone who has it harder than we do.
I am saddened at all of the pain around the world. Sometimes it is so hard to find any good.
However, we can determine to drive some good out of everything that comes our way. In 2021, there was a devastating tornado that tore through Bremen, Kentucky. Jordan Baize emerged from his basement he saw that his roof had been blown away, doors were off the hinges, and shattered glass and insulation was every where. His Yamaha piano was intact. He sit down and played a song that had been in his dead for days: “There’s Something About That Name.”
Jordan Baize was determined to find some good out of everything.
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
We all have a story to tell. I have experienced so much pain in my own life. But I’m still here and I love Jesus more and more.
My story is still being written. I didn’t like the first few chapters, but my life isn’t over yet!
The ending is always the best part and it will end well!

We have all been through things in our life. I remember when my oldest son was small and I was attending college. We lived on a tight budget which meant not having much to eat. My goal was to finish my college so I could get a better job to support my family.
When I look back at that time in my life, God was faithful. I never remember a time when God let me down. God would always send someone to ask us to dinner or even bring over a few groceries.
I knew in my heart that this would pass!
One thing that got me through the hard times, was my hope!
Friends, we cannot allow ourselves to give up on hope! Otherwise, we would be constantly filled with worry and anxiety. Troubles will come, but don’t give up on hope!

We need the hope that only God can give. What are you plugged into? Jesus is our power source.

Life can be so overwhelming at times. However, I have learned to trust God in the good and the bad. Trust is built through the tough times.
Troubles will come, but don’t give up on hope!

Happy Monday! This is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice! When my boys were little, they would alway ask for things at the grocery check out line. One day, I was standing in the line at the grocery store and over heard a little boy telling his mother, “I want it and I want it now!” I chuckled because it reminded me of my boys when they were little.
I realized a couple of weeks ago that I was more like this little boy than I cared to admit. It is so amazing how God works in our lives. He can speak to us through a song or a sermon. It may be all at once or little by little.
When my focus is off, I don’t hear God’s voice! I tend to listen to what I want and need.
What are you focused on today? It is so easy to get our eyes off of God and on to what the world offers.
God wants us to seek His presence not His presents! The word “presence” means face which represents a personal relationship with God.
As we continue to seek God, we grow spiritually and we learn what is truly important.
Psalm 27:4, “One thing have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after:

That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of Jehovah,
And to inquire in his temple.”
God is never more than one thought away. We may not always feel like it, but He is always present. God wants and needs us to have faith and believe.
Hebrews 11:6 states, “and without faith it is impossible to be well-pleasing unto him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seek after him.”

It is certainly okay to ask for things but more frequently we should ask for more of Him.
Trust God to give you what you need, when you need it! Matthew 6:33 says to “seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you.”

Happy Friday! Today is the last day of February and we begin March tomorrow. All of us have been going through things over the last few years. These past few month have been really hard. Do you find your prayers starting something like, it’s me again God, can you hear me now?
In my studies this week, I came across the scripture on worry and anxiety. As I discussed last week, it is so easy to fall into fear and worry. Where does this worry come from?
Fear and worry takes over when we take our eyes off of God! The reason people operate on zero energy is because they cancel their prayer power by giving in to the negative power of worry.
Anxiety can cause a poor signal in our prayer life. It’s me again God, can you hear me now?
Colossians 1:4 states, “for we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus [how you lean on Him with absolute confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness], and of the [unselfish] love which you have for all the saints (God’s people).
To have this kind of faith means we believe that God will do what needs to be done for us.
When we rely completely on God, instead of on people, this kind of faith brings peace and blessings to our lives.
Philippians 4:7 states, “And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].
God can hear you! Pray about everything instead of worrying and God will take care of you.

Happy Monday! I hope that your weekend was great. Did you know that fear is mentioned 365 times in the Bible. You could actually read a scripture every day about fear. One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 91. Without the truths that we find throughout the Bible, it would be so easy to allow fear to take over!
Do you ever feel afraid? Just the news alone would make you feel afraid.
Psalm 91:2 says, “I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust,”
David is saying that God is his refuge and his fortress and he will put his trust in God.
God is our refuge and our strength!
What are you saying about God? Are you putting your trust in God every day? We often claim to believe that God is our refuge and fortress but do we say this out loud?
When we don’t proclaim these truths out loud, fear will take over!
One thing I try to do every day is proclaim these things truths from the Scripture out loud.
When we verbalize the goodness of God, we are taking aggressive action against the enemy.
Say aloud the things that are in your heart! Put your trust in God because he is trustworthy!
Tell God you trust Him! Proclaim His goodness over your life!

Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope that you were able to spend time with your friends and loved ones over the weekend. My husband and I celebrated Valentine’s Day at home. However, I made chocolate covered strawberries which is always a treat at our house. If you are feeling uneasy today, this blog is for you. Friends, in a chaotic world, we need God’s love, protection, and guidance in our lives.
Are you feeling a little uneasy lately? One of my go to passages in the Bible is Psalm 23. If you haven’t memorized it, you should do it today.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever (Psalm 23: 1-6).
Why should we allow the Lord to be our Shepherd? Specifically, He leads, protects, and guides us. But only if we allow Him too. He will not lead you down the wrong path.
If you are going through trouble in your life, God will restore your soul. Restore means to bring back to its original condition. I like the sound of that!
I don’t know about you, but I need that restoration from God every day.
If your heart is hurting on this Valentine’s Day, take comfort in God’s love. His love is unfailing and He never gives up on you.
Likewise, continue to grow stronger by filling up on God’s word every day. This is God’s plan for your life.

Happy Monday, Friends! It is a great day to have a great day. I hope that you are having a nice start to your week. We are in the first full week of February. What do you have planned for this week? Waiting is the hardest thing that we ever do!
This past weekend my husband and I had an early Valentines date. I hope that you and your family or friends are making the most of your time and doing things you love.
One of the hardest thing that we ever do is wait. We wait for our prayers to be answered. We spend a whole of time waiting at traffic lights. Did you know humans spend 6 months of their lives waiting in line and on average 43 days on hold with automated customer service.
Friends what are you waiting for? The Bible tells us in Psalms 39:7, “And now, Lord, for what do I expectantly wait? My hope [my confident expectation] is in You.”
You may be waiting on God to move on your behalf.
Don’t give up! He won’t let you down. Our hope is in the Lord.

Happy Monday! I hope that you are having a nice start to your week. We are starting a new month this week and boy is it easy to fall prey to the negativity of the world. For many years, the negativity that I allowed to enter my mind would replay over and over. It is time to stop the replay of negativity in our minds!
According to 2 Corinthians 5:21, “He made Christ who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God.”
The God’s righteousness is available to us when we ask Jesus to be our Savior. It is a gift to us. We didn’t earn it, it comes by grace and through faith.
About a year ago, I was listening to a podcast by Joyce Meyer. She said we could make our day go better just by getting our words in agreement with God. We can change our thoughts and words in agreement with the way God speaks and thinks about us.
Wow, this really hit me hard. I could change the way I felt about myself by aligning my thoughts with what God thinks of me?
I can say things like, “I am the righteousness of God.” “Jesus loves me!” It may be a bit awkward at first. But when you do this on a regular basis, it starts to sink in.
What are you saying about yourself? Stop the negativity replay in your mind today.
When we accept the righteousness of God the more we start to do and live right!
This is a game changer!

Looking back, this was definitely not good for me or them.
Proverbs 27:1 tells us to “Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.”
My husband’s favorite saying was “he will have time to rest in heaven.”
Friends, what are you putting off that you could be doing today?
Take some time today to do what you love. Spend time with family and friends! Go to the park! Go shopping! Take a walk!

Happy Monday! We are well into the new year. How are you? It has been a rough week or weeks for many of us. My family has been sick and is still working through all of it. Friends even through the hard times we can be full of hope!
Life is hard! Can I get an amen? Okay, I said it so now let’s move on to the good news.
One thing that I need every day is the peace of God.
It is so easy to have peace and hope in the good times. But oh in the bad, peace is hard to find.
Proverbs 23:18, “There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”
First, stop thinking so much!
I tend to overthink everything. I have to remind myself to stop thinking so much on a daily basis.
Second, if you need help, ask!
I am terrible at asking for help. I have always been good at figuring things out on my own. However, I find when I ask for God’s help, things work out so much better.
Third, start your day with God!
I can’t tell you how much better my day goes when I take time to spend with God each morning. Even if I only read one Bible verse and say a quick prayer, it sticks with me the rest of the day.
Start your new year off right! Be a person that remains hopeful no matter what. Look for the good in things. Don’t try to go it alone. Ask God to help you throughout your day.
Stay hopeful!
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).

Happy Monday, friends! I hope that you are staying well and had a great weekend! We experienced some sickness in our family over the holidays. In fact, some are just getting over it. When you are going through a rough patch, like sickness, it is important to have faith and know it is going to end well!
However, trusting God is not always easy when you aren’t feeling well. When I had the Covid last year, I felt terrible. But God was with me every step of the way.
Faith is so important. We can’t let doubt or unbelief steal our faith.
Faith is the decision to trust God no matter the circumstance. Faith is the knowledge that whatever you are going through is going to end well!
If you are having trouble trusting God read:
2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we live by faith, not by sight.”
Matthew 16:19, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
1 John 4:4, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
Through the hard times, we grow. Stand on the promises of God and have faith. Have faith in God and know it is going to end well.

Happy New Year, friends! We are already into the new year and I am so happy to be moving forward into the new. To be honest, the year 2021 was a blur! I am believing in all-new in 2022.
I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions. According to one study, only about 9% believe they were successful in keeping their New Year’s Resolution by the end of the year.
Isaiah 43:19 states, “See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
As we enter the new year, focus on the new in 2022. The new the only God can bring.
Have faith in God and He will carry you through 2022.
Set some goals for yourself!
Pray more!
Spend more time studying the Word of God!
Make more time for your family!
Look for things that bring you joy!
Laugh more!
Finally, you have all the faith and the grace to do what you need to do in 2022!

Happy Monday! Christmas is almost here and there is still a lot to do. I hope that you are having a wonderful week. This week I am talking about the most powerful position you can have!
One of the things that have struck me this Christmas season is the lack of joy and peace. If I take my focus off of God for one minute I start to feel anxious.
Anxiety causes me to lose my joy and peace. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
It is so hard on many days to focus on the good. However, when we do, we are promised peace and joy. It is the most powerful position you can have!
Nehemiah 8:10 says, “Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
As we near Christmas, don’t let the worries of the world steal your joy. Jesus came to the earth and was born in a manger. Jesus brought peace and joy to the world and will continue to bring us peace and joy.
Luke 2:10-11, “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
Peace gives you power!
Therefore, pursue peace and joy! Expect good things to come in 2022.

Happy Monday! I hope that you are having a great week. December is always a mad dash to complete all the things. This week I am talking about the Christmas season. It’s supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year!
I do love Christmas because we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. We sing all of the Christmas songs and decorate our houses.
One of my favorite Christmas songs is “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!”
During the Christmas season, we struggle with managing expectations and family issues which causes more stress. How do you manage everything especially this time of year? It’s supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year!
In Matthew 11:28 Jesus tells us to, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Even more so now, in this busy season, we need to take time to rest in knowing that we can never do enough.
I believe God wants us to come to Him and be assured that we are accepted because of what He has done for us.
When we do so, we can truly experience freedom from the worry and stress of not doing enough.
I want to be at that place where I can celebrate and truly enjoy the most wonderful time of the year!

Happy December! This past week I took some time to decorate my home for Christmas. Many of the ornaments that I put on the Christmas tree holds special memories. Taking time to treasure special memories in a world filled with nothing but the noise makes my heart so happy. This week I am talking about needing a minute.

I started the book of Luke a few days ago. One verse that stood out to me was Luke 2:19, “But Mary treasured all these things, giving careful thought to them and pondering them in her heart.”
In a world that is full of chaos and change, have you caught yourself saying “I need just a minute, please!”
I remember when my boys were little and it seemed like every time I was busy, they would bombard me with questions. I needed a few minutes to think.
Now that my boys are grown, I have more time to myself, but life never slows down. Chaos is everywhere we turn.
The noise keeps us from the good things.
In Luke 2:19, Mary didn’t wonder why these things were happening around her. She pondered the good things of God in her heart.
I need a minute to ponder the good. What would our lives be like if throughout the day we spent a minute pondering the things of God? How would our lives change?
Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
All we need to know is God has everything in control. He will never fail you!
Happy Monday! I hope that you spent time with family and friends last week. Now that everyone is gone, my house is so quiet. You know what, I learn more in the quiet!
When I was younger, I never enjoyed the quiet. It was a time when my mind focused on the bad instead of the good.
Now that I’m older, I find that I learn more in the quiet!
Our lives tend to be so busy with work, family, and activities. Maybe we keep our lives busy so we don’t have to focus on things.
This time of year, it seems we are even busier. I know that prepping for Christmas takes a lot of time.
What does it mean to be still? Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
His word reminds us to be still and know that God is with us. I learn more about God in the quiet. Listen for God’s voice. He will guide you throughout your day.

Happy Monday! I hope that you are having a great week. This week I am talking more about having hope. Your attitude and your thoughts belong to you. No one can make you have a bad attitude if you don’t want to.
We spend a lot of time in our life waiting. Studies show that we spend 58.6 hours waiting at red lights every 365 days. We spend on average 6 months of our lives waiting in line for something. We also wait for our goals and dreams to be fulfilled.
I’ll be honest, I don’t like to wait. I have never liked to wait. But who does?
But when I wait, it is up to me to wait with a good attitude. My attitude and my thoughts belong to me!
I can decide to have hope and wait expectantly. Hope is not merely wishing everything will turn out okay. It is in the knowledge that things will turn out okay.
Psalm 130:5 “I wait for the Lord, I expectantly wait, and in His word do I hope.”
You may be going through something today that is so hard. Have hope in the Lord! Make a decision to have hope no matter how difficult your circumstances may seem.
I urge you to read, study, listen, and meditate on the word of God! Expect something good to happen today!

Happy Monday! We are having some beautiful weather at our house. This week I am talking about three things to help you through your day.
We all have daily struggles. Some days are worse than others. I admit that I allow things to get to me sometimes.
As I shared last week, I am working on my “thank you journal.” When I focus more on things that I am thankful for, my days do go a whole lot better.
Also, we don’t have to be stressed all of the time because we have a God who cares for us.
There are three things to help you get through your day: faith, hope, and love!
1 Corinthians 13:13 states, “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
We need these three things on a daily basis to get through all of our struggles. We are not promised a perfect life. However, God does promise to be with us when we face challenges. In other words, we are never alone.
As we head into the holidays, take God with you.

Happy Monday! This week I am talking about setting priorities. Do you get distracted easily? Me too! I make a to-do list for the day, but it is a struggle to stay on task most days. It’s not always easy setting priorities!
I was listening to my morning podcast and one of the topics this week was about making God first in our day and lives.
It is challenging to spend that time with God when we pack our schedule so full. Many days, I am literally running around doing all the things and forget to make time for God.
I find that my day goes so much better when I make that time in the mornings to pray, read, and meditate on His word. When I am doing life with God!
Friends, we are constantly in a battle. What does that look like for you?
It may just be a battle for our time or a battle of the mind. No matter what it looks like it is real.
We must spend time with God so we can fight these battles.
2 Samuel 22:30-35 states, “With your help, I can advance against a troop; with my God, I can scale a wall.”
Without God, I couldn’t make it through my day. But with God, I “can scale a wall.” Friends, we can make it through with God.

Happy Monday! I hope that your week is off to a great start. I love this time of year. It is a bit chilly in the mornings but perfect by afternoon. This week, I am sharing some things I do when I feel a bit stressed. It can get pretty dark when we are stressed and overloaded. Now is the time to turn the light up!
My circuits are overloaded on many days. I have too many things planned for my day. By the end of the day, I am more than tired and way too tired to read my Bible.
I know that I am the one in control of my schedule. If I have too many things planned, I can make a change.
My day goes a whole lot better when I start my day with God. That may look a little different every day.
When I stay plugged into my energy source which is Jesus, my light burns bright.
John 8:12 states, “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
I may get physically tired, but the word of the Lord gives me the energy I need to make it through whatever life brings.
Keeping the attitude of gratitude throughout my day, helps me focus on the good not the bad.

Happy Monday! There is a chill in the air. I love the Fall season. I believe new seasons bring hope. We all need a little hope right now!
These times require us to focus on God, not on the chaos. The Psalmist was discouraged in Psalm 43:5 says, “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”
Thus, we can get easily discouraged by all of the chaos in the world.
I believe that Jesus wants us to be encouraged today. Staying encouraged means having hope.
Psalm 42:5, “Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become restless and disturbed with me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall again praise Him.”
We need a little hope right now.
Hope produces joy, song, and faith.
Don’t give up on hope.

Hello friends and Happy Fall! I love this time of year. The weather is changing, which always gives us hope. It is crucial to believe that something good will come.
Life is full of unexpected challenges. You overcome one challenge, another one comes. If we aren’t careful, we could allow these to bring us down in a hurry.
James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
James tells us, it is during trials and difficulties that we should believe something good will come from all of it. This scripture hit me hard. I don’t know about you but when I am down and going through a rough time it is hard to believe something good is coming.
However, here is the important part, God doesn’t find fault in me when I fail. We all fail!
But when we fail, it is important to get up and try again. We may not feel like it at the time, but we are getting stronger with every adversity.
So, here is the deal! It is crucial to believe that something good will come.
When we believe we stay in hope!
With that hope, take time to celebrate how far you have come not how far you have to go!
I have learned through all of the difficulties we have faced over the last year and a half to celebrate small victories. Even if it’s a small celebration! Celebrate!
Above all, believe that God is for you even when His answer may not be want we want to hear.
Psalms 31:3, “Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.

Happy Monday! Friends, are you feeling burdened by the weight of what is going on in the world? Me too! Now is not the time for the faint of heart. We must be strong and courageous and know God is With us.
I confess I have had many days when I have felt a little weak. You know what, God has always been there to pick me up again.
The Book of Daniel gives us hope. Daniel and his three friends lived in a time of harsh dictatorship. In fact, they were exiled and lived in captivity. Daniel had faith and stayed strong through the midst of some terrible circumstances, such as the lion’s den and the fiery furnace. God showed up because Daniel was faithful.
Are you feeling strong and courageous today?
Put your trust in God and He will make you strong.
Psalm 46: 1-3 states, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”

Hello friends, I find it easy to say, don’t worry, but it is so hard to do. I’m not sure that anybody can truly conquer the habit of worry and develop the habit of peace and rest. It takes practice. What I do know for sure is we need to have faith and expect good things from God.
Romans 4: 20-21 states, “But he did not doubt or waver in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and empowered by faith, giving glory to God. Being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised.”
Abraham waited 25 years for the fulfillment of God’s promise. It is so hard to hold onto the promises of God in the middle of chaos.
The Bible gives us promises, hope, and encouragement. Despite all that is going around us, God still gives us hope. Expect good things from God.
Do you need something good to read? The Bible is my go-to for the good news.
If you want to find some hope, check out Hebrews 11. You will find stories about people who dared to believe the promises of God.
Have faith and expect good things from God.
Don’t give up! Have faith that God will keep His promises.
Moreover, focus on the goodness of God! He will come through for those who serve Him.

As we begin this week, are you feeling burdened? Friends life is filled with a lot of sadness. Just when you think you have overcome one giant, another one shows up. What hidden giants are you facing today?
Some days I would rather stay in bed! Let’s face it, there are days when I am just tired of fighting.
However, I know that “I am more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through him” (Romans 8:37).
David faced his giant with just a sling and stone. Moses faced his giant by lifting his hands, and Noah built an ark.
What hidden giants are you facing in your life?
We go through many difficult things but we can learn to respond to these things the way Jesus would.
Just knowing”if God is for me who could be against me” brings me comfort. (Romans 8:31).
I can know before I ever face a problem, God will give me victory over it. It is an amazing freedom to know that God is always with me no matter what.
No matter what we face in life, we can overcome with Christ.

Happy Monday! Friends, are you feeling a little discouraged today? We face so many giants in our lives. Hope is something we desperately need today!
In Psalm 42:5, the psalmist is discouraged. “Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become restless and disturbed within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall again praise Him. For the help of His presence.” It is so easy to get discouraged by the chaos in the world.
Three things we find in this verse the Psalmist did. First, he asked, “why he was in despair?” Second, then he instructed his soul to “hope in God.” Third, he declared that he will “again praise Him.”
Discouragement destroys hope! Without hope, we give up which is what the Devil wants us to do.
What kind of thoughts do you have? Do your thoughts and words sound like these? I am not going to make it. I am ready to give up.
What are you thinking about? Have a little talk with yourself today! Hope is something we desperately need today!
God is our hope! He will never let us down. It may seem like things are falling apart but God has everything in control.
Psalm 42:11 tells us, “…Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him.”
Take hold of hope and don’t let it go!

We live in a chaotic world. However, I believe that we can still be happy in the midst of a storm. Fear is something that I fight on a daily basis. Today I am talking about one way to overcome fear in your life.
Whose life are you living? Are you living the life that you want to live or someone else’s life? Are you a people pleaser? It is time to live our life doing what God wants us to do not what others want us to do.
Fear is something that makes us back down from things we want to do in our life. It steals our happiness!
When I quit my job I was worried I wouldn’t find another job. When the Covid hit, my fear increased. It was a daily battle that I overcame by doing what I could do and leaving the rest to God.
I love this scripture, Psalms 118:6 “The LORD is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”
Confidence doesn’t come easy. In fact, sometimes it is a daily battle to get up in the mornings and feel confident enough to make it through the day.
However, I have found that the more time I spend with Jesus the more courageous that I have become. I don’t hesitate to ask for help throughout the day. I cannot do it alone!
Friends the only way to overcome fear in your life is to put your faith and trust in God! He loves you so much.
1 John 4:18, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

Friends, HOPE is the strand that keeps us moving forward through every adversity! Stop thinking this is never going to end!
Hope keeps us in a positive frame of mind. One of the worst things we can do is to think is this is never going to get better. This is a lie from Satan!
Instead, say this is going to end well! Or say tomorrow, things will be better. This positivity will calm down all of the fear and negativity in your life.
Having a positive attitude or outlook doesn’t mean all of the pain goes away.
Pain can be a lonely place. However, we are never alone! Stop thinking this is never going to end!
God knows exactly what we are going through! He sees all of the pain and the tears. God doesn’t promise to deliver us from all of the pain. But he does promise to be with us while we are going through it.
Psalm 139:1-5 says, 1.”O Lord you have searched me, and have known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up [my entire life, everything I do]; 2. You understand my thought from afar. 3. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And You are intimately acquainted with all my ways. 4. Even before there is a word on my tongue [still unspoken], Behold, O Lord, You know it all. 5. You have enclosed me behind and before,

Friends, God is always with you. Stop thinking this is never going to end. Don’t give up.

Happy Monday! One of the most common forms of stress is the comparison trap. I admit, there have been so many times that I have spent time comparing myself to others. The more you compare your life to those around you, the less you enjoy the life that God has given you.
I think we can all agree that comparison is bad but it is so easy to fall prey to the comparison trap. The only thing that comes from the comparison is stress.
Psalms 139:14 states, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.”
Things in life that make us different are assets. We were created by God to be confident, secure, and bold. Comparison is a joy steeler.
In 1 Samuel 17, David fought Goliath using the tools that God gave him. He didn’t have to use Saul’s armor to fight Goliath. In fact, David could have been tempted to fight like Saul but God gave him what he needed to slay the giant.
We have what we need because God gives us what we need. We don’t need to compare ourselves to others. It only brings on more stress in our lives.
The bottom line is God created you for a purpose and He has given you the talents and gifts that you need.

When we allow negative thoughts to fill our minds, it always comes out of our mouths. Matthew 12:34 states, “…For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart.”
Everything begins with a thought! The more thoughts of love and kindness, the more we view others as being kind and loving. When things become right on the inside, things will be right on the outside.
Matthew 12:33 states, “Either made the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is recognized and judged by its fruit.”
It all begins with our hearts and mind. When we focus on the love of God and fellowship with Him every day, we are planting good seeds. When we focus on negative thoughts, we are planting bad seeds.
Friends, make time for God in your daily schedule. I can’t survive on a Sunday fill-up. I need God every day.

Happy Monday! We celebrated our youngest granddaughter’s third birthday on Saturday. It was a great day! Today I am talking about worry. With all of the chaos in the world, there is so much to worry about. Many of my friends never seem to worry. I have always been a worrier. I remember when my boys were growing up, I worried about so many things that I just couldn’t control. Today, I made a decision: I will stop being worried or anxious about my life!
Matthew 6:25 states, “Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?”
When we worry, we are harming ourselves and not obeying God. Worry takes years from our lives.
When we refuse to worry, we have more peace, hope, and confidence. God knows exactly what we need and will provide for us.
So reject worry and trust God! He will never let you down.

Happy Monday! Today, I am so grateful that I can write this blog as a way to encourage everyone! It is hard to know what is right? Right is wrong and wrong is right and it is definitely not always easy to do what is right.
So, how do I know? I was reading Proverbs 14:2 and it says, “Whoever fears the Lord walks uprightly, but those who despise him are devious in all their ways.” Wow, there is so much truth in this one verse. Let’s take a minute to unpack the truths in this verse.
My parents taught me to respect my elders. I instilled this same lesson of respect in my kids as well. But more importantly, I need to have a reverential fear of God. This doesn’t mean that I fear that God will hurt me. On the contrary, it means that I want to do all I can to please God!
How do we know what is right? I have pondered over this one for many years now. The lines between right and wrong have blurred even more over the last few years.
But first, we must change our thoughts in order to change our behavior. According to God, right-thinking comes first, and right actions follow.
Proverbs 14:6 states, “knowledge comes easily to the discerning.” Discernment comes through waiting on God and thinking about the right actions to take.
Romans 12:2 states, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.”
Folks, many times in my life I have made wrong decisions because I didn’t wait on God. I followed random thoughts instead of seeking God.
Ask God for help in all of your decisions large or small. Do what God tells you to do!

Happy Monday! This past weekend we visited our granddaughters and celebrated all of the wonderful dads in our world. Life is short so take the time to celebrate big and small things in your life. Today, I am providing a few ways to change your focus to help you stress less!
Stress is a tricky thing. It can sneak up on you and turn your world completely upside down. I remember when I was growing up and my grandfather would always ask me, “what do you know?”
As a young girl, I always felt compelled to tell everything that was happening in my life, good and bad.
My youngest granddaughter loves puzzles. She looks at each piece closely and studies them. She focuses on every detail in the puzzle pieces until she has it all put together.
What are you focused on? My focus determines my stress level. When I focus on my problems, my mind and my heart fill with fear and frustration.
Hebrews 12:2 says, “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Colossians 3: 2 says, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”
Psalms 103 encourages us to remember all of the benefits of God! Gratefully thank and praise God for all of His goodness!

Happy Monday! Wow, this month has flown by. I celebrated my birthday last week and this coming weekend we celebrate our third grandchild. However, even with all the good things that are happening around me, I tend to constantly feel burdened, overloaded, and stressed out! Lyndon B. Johnson wrote, “Peace is a journey of a thousand miles and it must be taken one step at a time.”
I confess I tend to allow things going on around me stress me out. There are so many decisions that I make on a daily basis such a what I am going to wear, what I am going to eat for breakfast, or to hit the snooze button five times.
However, there are so many decisions that I don’t get to make. For example, what news headlines flash across my phone or the television screen, the mood of my family, or the weather. All of these and more can make me feel burdened, overloaded, and stressed out.
Even thought I can’t control all of these situations, I can control how I face it.
We have been talking about having faith and hope in God. Trusting God and waiting is not a passive activity. Thus, we do what we can and let God do the rest!
In John 6: 9-13, there was a great crowd who had followed Jesus because they had seen the signs he had performed. The disciples wondered how were they ever going to feed all of the people. Andrew said, “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?” Jesus took what the little boy had and multiplied it to feed all of the people there. The little boy did his part and Jesus did the rest.
We may not know all of the steps to take but we don’t have to. The first step is to reject a burdened, overloaded, stressed-out life! Don’t focus on the problems that you can’t do anything about! Focus on the promises of God!
Therefore, no matter how things look, you can do your part and take a step against a stressed life.
Despite how you might feel when you get up, start your day in a positive way!

Happy Monday! Last week we talked about how everything will be alright! God is faithful and He is true. Today, I will dive a little deeper and discuss how to trust God when it seems everything is falling apart.
Life is chaotic and it is hard to trust that God will work everything out for us in the end. When things are going great, it is easy to trust God.
At the beginning of this year, my husband and I got the Covid. I had taken on a whole lot at my work and there just wasn’t anyone else to complete my work. So, I got up every day trusting that God would help me complete what I needed to do for work and get better at the same time. It was so hard! There were many days that I just didn’t feel good. It was only by the grace of God that I completed all of my tasks for work despite having the Covid and feeling terrible most days.
Instead, I chose to place my trust in God and He gave me the strength to do what I needed to do.
Isaiah 40:29-31 states,
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
A few weeks ago, I went to the local Farmer’s Market. I didn’t end up finding much. One of the farmers told me the winter freeze put them behind on the harvest. However, he was hopeful that the harvest would still come even after some tough times. He was right!
Just like that farmer, we need to trust that no matter what we are going through, it will all work out in the end. Many times in my life, I could have given up but I trusted God to work everything out.
Friends, God has never let me down and I can testify that I have been through some very hard times. He won’t let you down either!

Happy Memorial Day! I hope that you spent time with your family over the weekend or today. All this past week I have stayed focused on this statement: Everything will be alright!
Last week I talked about staying positive. I know that it isn’t easy to stay positive in the midst of a storm. Wow, it seems like we go through storms every day. It just doesn’t stop.
One of my favorite scriptures is Romans 8:28. “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” The scripture doesn’t tell us that all is good but “all things work together for good.
Recently I had the opportunity to practice this principle. I went to a local fast-food restaurant to pick up breakfast. I waited in line for 20 minutes before I was able to order and pay for my food. A few minutes later, a person came to the window and proceeded to refund my money. She insisted I take the money because of the wait. I finally received my order but it was a least a 45-minute wait.
I could have allowed that to upset me and frustrate me for the rest of the day. A negative person would have. A positive person would have been grateful for the free breakfast and went on about the day. I knew everything will be alright!
It is so easy to allow our emotions to take over and give up. However, it is just as easy to say, everything will be alright.
Give God all your worries and in return, He will give you His peace. Don’t worry about tomorrow because we have all we can take care of today.

Happy Monday! I hope that your weekend was fantastic. This week I am talking about something that I learned the hard way. The minute I realized it, it was a life-changer.
The mind is a tricky thing. Our actions are a direct response to how we think. For example, Proverbs 23:7 states, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…” If we think negatively, we will have a negative life. If we purposely think positively, we will have a positive life. The minute I realized this, it changed my life.
Friends, it isn’t always easy to think positively. The Devil is a liar and he tells us things about ourselves, people, and circumstances that are not true. As soon as we wake up the Devil fills our minds with suspicions, doubts, fears, wonderings, and reasonings.
“For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood, but against despotisms, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly” Ephesians 6:12.
If we dwell on these thoughts, we become weak, and if we aren’t careful we lose our hope which is right where the Devil wants us. “HOPELESS”
Being positive in a negative situation shows that we trust God to bring about good. In Romans 4:18-20, Abraham didn’t ignore the bad but he trusted God and had hope in faith.
Hope is the force that keeps us steady. Hebrews 6:19 tells us, “we have this hope as a sure and steadfast anchor…” Just reading this verse gives me hope. Friends, this is life-changing news!
No matter what you are facing today, don’t give up! Place your hope and faith in God!
Hello friends! I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend! My husband and I spent some time with our granddaughters last week. It was an amazing week. However, I confess I am feeling a bit weary.
In 2020, we had the lockdown. We are well into 2021 and many people are still in lockdown and feeling a bit weary.
Can we get a break for a minute?
I confess I am feeling a bit weary and it would be easier to stay in bed on most days. Life is a struggle!
It seems most people are feeling a bit weary and struggling with something. If we aren’t careful, our struggles can literally consume us.
Over the last year, I have experienced the truth of Isaiah 40:29. “He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might. He increases strength.”
When I am tired, the Holy Spirit gives me the energy to keep going. I have hopes and an expectation that no matter what comes my way, something good is going to happen.
God has called us to be kind and loving toward others even when we don’t feel like it. Even if that is simply putting a smile on our faces and staying positive.
If you are tired, ask and trust that God will give you the strength you need for the day.

Luke 12:27-28 provides a wonderful reminder that we should live by. “Consider how the wildflowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith!”

Happy Monday! Wow, here we are in May and Summer is almost here. I am ready for the sun. Today I am talking about hope which is more than a four-letter word.
We all go through tough times! In fact many times, we go through storms that was not in the forecast.
However, if we get up each morning thinking our day will be partly cloudy with a chance of rain, that is what we will get. Expectations and hope go a long way.
Otherwise, when we hope, it puts joy in our heart. Every day is a new day!
Deuteronomy 31:6 states, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Hope is more than a four-letter word! It motivates and encourages us to keep moving forward even when we don’t feel like it.
Your first thought in the morning can determine the rest of your day. So why not try something new and radical.
Expect something good to happen!
Psalms 27:14 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Happy Monday! I can’t believe we are nearing the end of April. Friends, I think everyone I know has experienced some challenges in the last year. Some days it is hard to have faith.
I share a tip with my students throughout the term to help them get through their challenges, “take one day at a time.”
I confess, this was not an easy process. I tend to spend my today worrying about tomorrow. But faith is our cornerstone.
1 Peter 5:7 says, “cast all of your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”
This scripture resonates with me. It is a daily sometimes hourly decision to cast all of our cares on the Lord! I tend to cast and then take them back.
However, in order to enjoy today, we can’t worry about tomorrow! It is important to live by faith one day at a time.
Matthew 6:34 states, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Happy Monday! What does hope mean to you? I admit I struggle with keeping my hope up when all around us it feels like things are falling apart.
Just when you think you have it all together, something comes along and rocks you to the core. How do we continue to have hope when we are going through the most terrible circumstances?
When we plant a garden, we spend time tilling the soil, preparing the seeds, planting the seeds, and watering the seeds. We get up everyday in expectation that something will start to grow from all of our hard work. We have hope!
What is it about people who are happy all of the time? They are filled with hope!
Hope is more than a feeling!
Romans 5:2 says, “By whom we also have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in the hope of the Glory of God.”
Romans 12:2 says, “rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;”
Both of these scriptures mention being joyful in hope. We can be joyful because there is hope for tomorrow. I am learning to take one day at a time!
My joy is not in my circumstances. My joy is in knowing God!
Hope is based on the evidence of what God has done in the past.
Get your hopes up! Make hope a daily habit!

Hello friends! Last weekend we celebrated my youngest son’s twenty-fifth birthday. I can’t believe he is already twenty-five. When my boys were younger, I was a single mom. Most days, I spent my time surviving not thriving. It was hard but we made it. The one thing that got me through the hardest of days, was knowing that God could never love me more even when I made mistakes.
We use the word love all of the time but we struggle with the true meaning of love. Love is not a feeling or a nice word, it is the way you treat people.
If we truly understood the depth of God’s love for us we would never be afraid to love others. Loving the way God loves us means you love when you get nothing in return. That is a tough one!
We spend too much time worrying about ourselves. It is so easy to get in the “what about me” mindset.
John 13:34, “I am giving you a new commandment, that love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another.”
The world is desperate for real love so it isn’t hard to find someone who needs love.
1 Corinthians 14:1, “Eagerly pursue and seek to acquire love...”
Make it your goal today to pursue God’s love and then give it away by blessing someone!

And just like that, Easter is over. To some, it’s just a day filled with Easter eggs and chocolates. When it’s over, we go back to living our busy lives.
But to me Easter is more than a day. Easter is so much more.
Yesterday we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus our Lord and Savior. We can have hope because Jesus is alive!
We will battle hopelessness in our lives, however we must never give up. Because, hope is powerful.
“After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts His blessing and favor], who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be]” 1 Peter 5:10.
I love this scripture. In the last year, we have gone through so much and just when we think it’s over, something else comes up. But knowing that God will take care of us through it all gives us hope.
Hope is the expectation that something good is going to happen.
Choose to believe that God is going to do something better in your life, even when you don’t feel like it.
God is greater than anything we go through.

God’s word advises us to use our time wisely because He knows there are so many things that can distract us. God wants us to spend time with Him on a daily basis.
Psalm 90:12 states, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
God cares more about our heart and He wants to be close to you. Make time for God today!
As we near Easter, spend more time with God. Check the condition of your heart!
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23

Hello friends! I have been talking about trust which is not always easy. When someone hurts you it’s hard getting up out of bed! I admit I have been there many times in my life.
I have been studying the book of Philippians. Friends, Paul definitely had the right mindset even when he was in prison. Paul believed his imprisonment would not bring him shame, but joy. Paul trusted that God had a plan.
Paul went through a lot in his life but he never gave up. I’d like to think even Paul had days where it was hard getting up out of bed! But, who knows!
Paul believed that God would and could bring good out of every bad circumstance. Philippians 1:20 states, “Yes, and I will rejoice, for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance.”
We need to be bold enough to declare that things will change. God has a good plan for our lives and He will help us even when it’s hard.

Happy Monday! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Spring Break. We visited our kids and grandkids over the break. It was a glorious time. This week we continue to discuss trust. Maybe you are having trouble with trusting right now. I know I am! It’s time to stop believing the lies!
Fear can stop you from trusting. With God, we can work through our fear of rejection, our fear of the unknown, our fear of being taken advantage of, fear of making mistakes, or our fear of the future. It’s time to start placing our trust in God.
Psalm 56:3-4 states, “When I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?”
The Devil wants you to continue being fearful to keep you from trusting anyone. He whispers lies such as “you will never overcome your fears or you can’t trust anybody.” Don’t believe the lies of the Devil. You can and will overcome through Christ.
The Bible has so many great scriptures to help us when we start to fear.
Start reading and saying these scriptures when you feel afraid. Remember to be bold in the Lord!

Happy Monday! We are starting Spring Break and I am so ready. With Spring comes the warmer weather, flowers, and the rain. But if you are feeling a little down today, it is time to get up and get back into the race!
Looking back on this past year, it has certainly been memorable. About this time last year, we were already hearing about school closings. I remember this specifically because my youngest was in his last semester at Abilene Christian University. He finished his semester out totally online.
The book of Job is about hard times. Job lost his money, friends, family, and his health. I could only imagine what Job went through. You may be facing great difficulty today. God is with you. It is time to get up and get back into the race!
Even though Job went through a lot, he continued to have faith in God. Job said, “I know that You can do all things and that no thought or purpose of Yours can be restrained or thwarted” (Job 42:2). Job had faith in God.
No matter what you are going through, God has a plan for you. Have faith!
Faith is bold!

Hello Friends! We are starting a new month today. With this new month comes a new series. It is so hard to trust someone that has hurt you. I know this from experience. We learn to trust even when we’ve been hurt!
One of my favorite scriptures in the Bible is Proverbs 3: 5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
How to trust when you’ve been hurt! Many times people hurt you and they don’t even realize they did anything. They go on with their life and you are drowning and depressed in all of the hurt. One thing I do know is the old saying, “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me” is not true! Words hurt!
We can allow these words to take hold of us and spend the rest of the day in negativity or we can brush it off because we know who we are in Christ.
We know who we are in Christ when we spend more time with God. It is the foundation of trust that we need. When someone hurts us, give it to God.
When we cast it all on God, we move forward. We trust even when someone hurts us. Put your trust in the one who will never let you down.

Happy Monday! I pray that you are well and enjoying your Monday. Last week was far from normal. Over the last year and a half, I have learned so much. But most importantly, I have learned how to start my day off right!
Every day that we are given is a blessing so we should make the most of each and every day. Psalms 118: 24 states, “This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad.”
It is hard to rejoice when we are worried about our electricity going off and having no water. Through it all, I found myself looking for things to be thankful for.
Starting our day with God will give us the strength to make it through anything that comes our way. “I can do all things through Christ that gives me strength.” Philippians 4.13. Our strength is found in God.

Happy Monday! It certainly is a cold one around here. As I am sitting and writing this blog, it is 12 degrees outside and snowing. What is the weather like where you are? Today, I am sharing two ways to slow down in a hurry-up world!
Hurry up is a phrase that I catch myself saying all of the time. For example, before I hop into a meeting, I say I am going to hurry and take the dog out or hurry and grab some water. When my boys were little and they wanted me to do something for them, I had to hurry up, with what I was doing to give them my full attention. We live in a hurry-up world.
I believe the Pandemic has caused many of us to slow down our hurry-ups. However, as time as moved along, my hurry-ups have started to come back.
Proverbs 8:34 states, “Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.”
This Proverbs teaches us to watch and wait at the doorway and we will be blessed. Maybe just maybe we miss our blessing because we are in a hurry. Rushing around can become a habit.
Take a few minutes and ask yourself, why do I feel hurried all of the time? You may find out there really isn’t a good reason. Start today creating good habits for yourself. It is time to slow down in a hurry-up world.

Happy Monday! Today I am sharing 3 reasons why you should pursue meaning, not happiness. We spend a lot of time and effort pursuing things that we think will make us happy. Once we have these things, we realize these things don’t really make us happy at all.
Viktor Emil Frankl was an Austrian neurologist, psychiatrist, philosopher, author, and Holocaust survivor. He was the founder of the school of psychotherapy which describes a search for a life meaning as the central human motivational force. Frankl was arrested and put into a Nazi concentration camp along with his wife and parents. Frankl was the only one that survived.
He attributed his survival to one thing; meaning. Studies reveal that having a clear overall purpose and meaning in life increases our overall health and well-being. However, Frankl believes that our pursuit of happiness is the one thing that thwarts our chances to be happy. He also goes on to relate happiness to being a “taker” and meaning to being a “giver.” Frankl, provides 3 reasons why we should pursue meaning, not happiness.
In Acts 16, Paul and Silas were accused of advocating customs unlawful for the Romans. They were beaten with rods and then thrown into prison. Instead of griping and complaining, they spent their time praying and singing hymns to God.
In life, we will experience suffering. You may be going through something today and it has overtaken you. I know all too well it is hard to have a good attitude when we are going through trials. But, we have a God who will be with us every step of the way. He will never leave us. Look to God to find meaning.

Happy Monday friends! As I was thinking about the events of this week, I started to think about things that have happened in my life over the years. Just when I thought I made it through a challenge, another one came along. Many times, I have felt so tired that even breathing was difficult. I am going to talk about two ways to keep moving forward even when you are tired.
My husband and I recently got the Covid. We did all the right things such as wearing a mask, social distancing, washing our hands, using hand sanitizer, not going out, etc. No matter how hard we tried not to get it, we still got it. The last three weeks have not been a picnic. But even still, God brought us through and continues to do so. We keep moving forward even when we are tired.
It was during these times that I chose to focus on all of the times God has been faithful in my life. When it seemed I couldn’t go on, God was there.
First, change your focus to something other than. your challenges. Try focusing on God in the mornings and in the evenings.
Second, try self-talk. Say out loud that God is for me. He will never let me down. He loves me. I have nothing to fear. You will begin to have a whole new perspective.
Proverbs 4: 23 says “Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.”

Hello Friends and Happy Monday! This is the season for love. I think we use the word love so loosely. Personally, I struggle with Valentine’s Day every year. I love gifts but I don’t think there needs to be a special day to give or receive a gift. There definitely doesn’t need to be a special day to show love to someone. However, I would love a special delivery, from God right about now.
One thing that I have struggled with over the last several weeks is the amount of hate that I am seeing from people. The problem with this type of hate is it resembles more of a GroupThink! I have never in my life been a follower and I won’t start now.
Don’t get me wrong, I have used the word hate many times in my life. For example, I hate brussels sprouts and I hate dirty dishes in my sink. I also hate to clean toilets. But these are only superficial. I believe the hate we are seeing goes way beyond my hate for dirty dishes or cleaning the toilets.
I recently started a Bible study in the book of Proverbs. I want to know more and the book of Proverbs is a great place to start.
God instructs us in Proverbs 1:5, “The wise also will hear and increase in learning, and the person of understanding will acquire skills and attain to sound counsel.”
Folks God is giving us a special delivery every day. He sent us His word to live by. Everything we need to know is in the Bible. I don’t know about you but I want to be wise and a person of understanding.
Mark 12:31 states, “The second is like it and is this. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandments greater than these.”
God loves us even when we make mistakes. God loves us so much that he sent His son to die on a cross for our sins. He will always love us.
This is the kind of love that I want to focus on this Valentine’s Day.

Happy Monday! I cannot believe we are already in the second week of the new year. It has already been a busy start to the year. Friends, I feel like everyone is facing a storm in this new year. I am learning to put one foot in front of the other.
In Matthew 14: 22-33, Jesus walked on the lake to the disciples. When the disciples saw him, they were afraid. Peter stepped out of the boat and walked on the water. When Peter became afraid, Jesus reached out His hand and caught Peter. Jesus and Peter got back into the boat and immediately the wind died down.
I don’t know about you, but I needed this word from God today. You may be in the middle of the storm, have faith, and never give up. Some days we have to just get up, put one foot in front of the other, and say out loud, “no matter how it looks, I am not giving up.” God is for me!

Looks like we made it! However, things are pretty much the same at our house. Many people are still working from home, college students are attending classes online, and we are still wearing masks. But I am so tired of the masks. I digress!
I am starting a new theme this year with my blog. Since we are staying more at our homes, I am finding that more people are doing renovations than ever before. More people are being forced to reimagine their spaces to meet the homework style/homeschool style. You have to try these new trends in your home.
I started teaching online classes in 2007. So, I have had a space to work from in my home since that time. However, it is nice to refresh and update. In fact, my husband and I just got through with a major project at our home. I will be sharing more about that later.
According to Monique Valeris, one popular trend in 2021 is something simple and easy to do in any home, paint (https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/home/decorating). To make staying inside more bearable, the new trends for 2021 are to use paint colors are bringing the outdoors inside. Using a shade of bronze brings a sense of calm inside your home. Another color is Green brings in the outside atmosphere that everyone loves.
I personally have used the green paint colors in my home for a while now. But, more recently I used white paint in our new project. I personally love the clean and crisp look the white brings to the room.
If you are in the market for a new home and ready to sell yours, think about painting the walls to give them a fresh new look before you list. It will pay off for you in the end.

Hello friends! I hope that your Christmas was really great. This year we spent time with our granddaughters so it was amazing. We only have a few more days left in 2020. It seems that everyone wants to rush through the days we have left. However, I believe there is still one more thing to do before the new year!
I do believe that the celebration of Christmas does not have to end here. Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. Even though, I enjoy looking at the Christmas decorations, I also enjoy putting them away.
There were was so many bad things that happened in 2020. Just thinking about it all makes my heart sad. But, there is one more thing to do before the New Year! I believe that Jesus would like us to concentrate on the good.
If you are reading my blog right now, you have so much to be grateful for. We are still here after going through and still going through the worst Pandemic of my life. God is walking beside you and me! Look around at what you have and not wish for what you don’t have.
Before we say Happy New Year, think about all of the good in 2020.

Christmas traditions vary from family to family. These traditions include putting up the Christmas tree, hanging the lights, Christmas stockings, candy canes, special ornaments, family recipes, and celebrating the birth of our Savior. Simple traditions that warm our hearts and make us smile.
Growing up I never really thought much about traditions. However, I loved putting up the Christmas tree and visiting my grandparents.
When my boys were little, we started a new tradition. Every year on Christmas Eve we celebrate the birth of Jesus with a Happy Birthday Jesus party.
In Matthew 2:11 we read about the wise men who came bearing gifts for Jesus. “And going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense, and myrrh.” These were the most valued treasures of that time.
However, there is no limit to the treasure we have in Jesus. Christmas is not about a season. It is about a person. Let us remember to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior not just at Christmas but all the year. Jesus is truly the tradition that warms our hearts and makes us smile!

I’ll be honest, waiting is probably one of the hardest things for me to do. We wait for everything. However, does anybody like to wait? One thing I have learned in the waiting, getting frustrated will not get God to hurry!
Sometimes God promises us something but it seems like it will never happen. So many people in the Bible felt the same way. For example, Abraham was told he would have a son but it took 25 years for God to fulfill his promise. Getting frustrated will not get God to hurry!
So while you wait, don’t get frustrated, be satisfied, keep on moving forward, and remember “Let your character [your moral essence, your inner nature] be free from the love of money [shun greed—be financially ethical], being content with what you have; for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” Hebrews 13:5

I remember the time I first tried this cake. My grandma loved trying new recipes as I do. This cake recipe was not like any other that I had tasted because it had a layer of marshmallows and a layer of chocolate icing that tasted just like fudge. These layers make this cake very moist. One of my most favorite candies at Christmas is fudge. Believe me when I say this is the best chocolate cake recipe you will ever make! Your kids will love it!
Marshmallows have no nutritional value, however, they are cholesterol-free, fat-free, and low sodium. Also, marshmallows are a loved snack that can be enjoyed in hot cocoa which is the best during this time of year. I keep marshmallows in my pantry as a staple. You might even say this cake has all of the tastes of hot cocoa topped with marshmallows and chocolate sprinkles.
There are health benefits of dark chocolate such as a powerful source of antioxidants, lower blood pressure, reduce heart disease, and improve brain function. Who doesn’t love chocolate? However, this recipe it does not include dark chocolate, however, you can certainly tweak the recipe to make it healthier. I won’t tell if you won’t!
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Mix sugar and flour; add all of the other ingredients. Bake for 30 minutes. Start to make the icing about 5 minutes before the cake comes from the oven start mixing the icing to pour over the hot cake.
Icing
Put all of the ingredients except for the nuts and marshmallows in a saucepot. Bring to a boil. Sprinkle the marshmallows over the hot cake. Lastly, pour the icing over the marshmallows and sprinkle the cups of nuts on the icing.

There is so much going on in the world that keeps us upset. The Devil certainly knows how to push our buttons. I catch myself starting to worry about things even though I know it doesn’t do me any good. Worry is a total waste of my time. The definition of worry includes giving way to anxiety and allowing one’s mind to dwell on difficulty and troubles. When we worry we are giving in to fear. I pray that you will focus on peace instead of worry!
The Bible says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
Wow, I love this Scripture because when we focus on prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving we will receive the peace of God. If God tells us not to worry, that means we can do something about our worry. We can decide to focus on something other than our worries. Such as focusing on peace.
As we near Christmas, I think God wants us to focus more on the peace that only He can give. The angels proclaimed, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests” Luke 2:14.

Do you love to bake? Christmas is probably my most favorite time of the year because I love to make all the different desserts. When my boys were little, they enjoyed sampling all of my baked goods. I love to package it all up in cute little tins and give it away for Christmas. I remember going to my grandma’s house and finding these Christmas tins filled with peanut brittle, fudge, and fruit cake. Don’t wait to make new memories with your family!
One of my favorite cakes that my grandma made was her Baby Food Cake. My mom also made this cake for us girls when we were younger. So today, I am sharing my favorite memories that began in the kitchen starting with my favorite recipes.
I think what makes Baby Food Cake so yummy are the spices and of course the baby food. My mom always used plum baby food but you can use other flavors such as apples or even apricot. Don’t wait to make new memories with your family!
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Spray non-stick cooking spray in a bundt pan. Cream oil and sugar, add eggs one at a time. Add baby food and sifted dry ingredients. Pour into a prepared bundt pan for 45-50 minutes.

A solid foundation is crucial to the building process. A good foundation will whether storm damage, flooding, or heat, but if not properly laid or installed the foundation can start to crumble. Foundations apply to our homes and our lives. Your foundation may be cracking a bit. It is time to fill the holes in your foundation now!
I remember as a little girl singing a song about the wise man and foolish man. The foolish man built his house upon the sand and when the rains came, the house fell. However, the wise man built his house upon a rock and when the rain came, his house stood firm.
Matthew 7:24 says, “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” When I think of our spiritual foundation, I think about our faith.
I have started to study on Hebrews 11. I love it because all of the scriptures include something about faith. For example, by faith Noah built an ark, Abraham moved even though he didn’t know where he was going, Sarah had a baby even though she was past the age for it, and the Israelites cross the Red Sea.
Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the assurance of the things we hope for, being the proof of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality.”
You might be wondering how we can fill the cracks in our foundation (faith). Our faith is shaken by things that happen in our lives such as divorce, job loss, Pandemic, death, and illness. These things can cause cracks in our foundation over time.
Fill your holes in your foundation now with the word of God. Read Hebrews 11 and study the heroes of faith and watch your faith continue to build.

I confess that many decisions that I have made for my life were led by a random thought. Or I have allowed things such as the weather, sleep, how I am feeling, or the way others treat me to affect my decisions. In truth, when I look back, my emotions whether high or low led me to make my decisions. It is important to wait until our emotions subside to make important decisions. So, in the waiting and the praying I will do something now that will make me happy later!
Wisdom is based on the Word of God! Colossians 4:5 states, “Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.”
I have learned from the past to pray about decisions before I make them. My husband is so much better at this than I. He is always slow to make decisions. It is important to pray and wait and don’t do something we don’t have peace about!
God knows what’s best and will lead us to make a decision that will make us happy later.
Thanksgiving is this week and you may be baking and preparing the turkey or ham right now. I will be busy baking and doing some prep work for my side dishes. I love Thanksgiving foods. So, what do you do with all of your leftovers? I want to start by saying that you can certainly share your love with your friends, family, or neighbors. It’s never too late to think of others because sharing is caring!

The children of Israel faced a lot of opposition as they worked to restore the temple of God. Even with all of their opposition, they never lost sight of the goodness of God! Friends, we are certainly facing a lot of opposition today. Refuse to be discouraged, instead proclaim the goodness of God!
You may think you have nothing to be thankful for. Friends, we have plenty to be thankful for.
When the foundation of the temple was laid, the Israelites praised God and gave thanks. We don’t have to wait until Thanksgiving to give thanks.

I have often read that happiness is a state of mind. We can actually choose to be happy even in the midst of a storm. Even though, the struggle for a thankful heart is real. However, I find when I choose to focus on the things that I have, my attitude begins to change. I challenge you to choose to be grateful.
“For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:” 1 Timothy 4:4.
When we have a grateful heart, we become stronger. Gratefulness is good for the soul and for our health. Have you ever found yourself singing songs of praise throughout your day?
I challenge you this week to take some time to think about things that you are thankful for. Find creative ways to be grateful.

When I was a little girl, my dad would buy gingersnap cookies. I wasn’t a big fan because I felt the spices were too strong. However, now I am grown up, gingersnaps are probably one of my favorite cookies. So, with this recipe, I am putting two of my favorites together to make the best little gingersnap pumpkin cheesecake bites! Your family will love these!
Aside from the sugar, ginger really does have a lot of health benefits. Ginger is a flowering plant that grows in warm climates. We often think of ginger spice but you can certainly buy the ginger root at your local grocery store. Ginger helps to prevent nausea, muscle and joint pain, and lower blood sugar. Many people also add it to their teas and water. Since we are so near to Christmas, gingerbread is certainly a popular bread to make.
Pumpkin is an excellent source of Vitamin A which is great for the eyes and the skin. I love to buy a pie pumpkin this time of year and roast it in the oven. The great news about roasted your own pumpkin is the no added sugars. I usually freeze my pumpkin in a baggie for later.
So if you are interested in trying the best little gingersnap pumpkin cheesecake bites, I included the recipe below. I know your family will love these as much as mine did! Also, this would be great to make for Thanksgiving!
Crust
Pumpkin Cheesecake Filling
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a food processor, grind the gingersnap cookies to crumbs. Add melted butter and pulse until mixed. Add a couple of tablespoons of mixture to a lightly sprayed muffin cup. I used a 12 count muffin pan for this recipe.
Beat cream cheese, pumpkin, sugars, vanilla, salt, and spices with an electric mixer on medium until well blended. Add eggs and beat until just blended.
Spoon cream cheese mixture into mini cheesecake pan on top of gingersnap crusts. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until set. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 30 minutes. Chill for at least 2 hours or overnight. Serve with cream or cool whip.

One of my favorite movies from the 80s was “The Karate Kid.” In this movie, Daniel was being bullied and wanted to learn the art of karate. Daniel befriends Mr. Miyagi who is a martial arts master. Daniel asked Mr. Miyagi to help him but in the beginning, Daniel was assigned to do work around Mr. Miyagi’s house such as waxing his car, sanding the floor, and painting the fence. Yet, Daniel didn’t realize that all of that work was training him for victory. God gives us what we need to have the victory. Don’t forget to put on the armor of God!
God uses the mundane things in life to train us for victory! Never say what you are doing in your life is unimportant. I used to think that because I was a stay at home mom, I wasn’t important. I didn’t have a purpose. If you are a stay at home mom, you are training up your children to become mighty warriors for God. No matter where you and what you do, you have a purpose and you are the light! So don’t forget to put on the full armor of God!
Friends, we are in a war! A war not with a person but “but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places” (Ephesians 6:12). We must never forget to put on the armor of God!
So don’t forget to put on the full armor of God even if you are at home. The Bible says, “So stand firm and hold your ground, having tightened the wide band of truth around your waist and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, strapped on your feet the gospel of peace in preparation. Above all, lift up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6: 14-17

I would have to say that Cinnamon Rolls are probably one of my favorite breakfast foods. You are gonna love this breakfast treat, especially during the holidays. When my boys were little, I made Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls on many mornings. I think they still love these.
Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner. So, I hope you will include this quick and easy breakfast food recipe. Your kids are gonna love these.
Pillsbury does a great job with these, however, I have taken them to a whole other level and added a few yummy ingredients. You are gonna love this breakfast treat!
Ingredients
Set the oven to 350 degrees. I used a round cake pan. Peel and slice the apples. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, melted butter, and lemon juice. Place parchment paper on the bottom of the cake pan. Place the apple mixture and raisins on the bottom of the cake pan. Unroll the Pillsbury cinnamon rolls and place them on top of the apple and raisins mixture. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and flip onto a plate. Warm the cinnamon roll icing for about 15 seconds in the microwave. Pour on top of the Upside Down Apple Raisin Cinnamon Rolls. Serve warm! These are the best.

I have to admit this week, I have often felt like David in the Bible standing in front of Goliath with nothing but a slingshot. This week has been one for the books. Are you feeling a little weak in your faith?
The Bible tells us about a man named David. He tended the sheep. However, David was anointed by God. Every day, Goliath would defy the people of Israel. If someone could fight and kill the Goliath, they would be free of Philistines. David volunteered to fight Goliath. He set out with a slingshot and five smooth stones. David had God by his side. He trusted and had faith.

God doesn’t promise us a perfect life. However, we do have His assurance that He will always be with us even when we are fighting a battle.
The Bible says, “Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and faint a surpassing victory through Him who loves us.” Romans 8:37
If you are feeling a little weak in your faith because you are facing a battle today, know that God is on your side. Fight Satan with what you know which is prayer and the Word of God.
When you are feeling weak in the knees, pray!
No matter what comes your way, you can face it because you are an overcomer with Christ!

How many of you post a picture and stay logged into Social Media to check for likes? I confess I have been guilty of this. I spend too much time on Social Media. Even still, deep down I know my value is not connected to likes on Social Media!
Connecting is important…
But we can’t let this connection rule our feelings about ourselves. So how we feel about ourselves affects our attitudes.
Therefore, we can find more value in our connection to God.
God does not play favorites. The Bible states, “For there is no partiality with God” Romans 2:11.
Our value is not connected to Social Media likes…
Everyone is valuable to God! We all have a purpose on earth. Our purpose is more than the feeling we get when we get a bunch of likes on our Social Media posts. No one should ever feel devalued or feel like they have no worth.
Our reward comes from God not on how many likes on Social Media!
Ephesians 6:8, “…knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive this back from the Lord.”

I have often wondered why we even have a time change but I am glad that we do. So, let me start off by saying I am thankful for the time change. You might be thinking right now that you struggle to find anything to be thankful for or anything to be happy about. I can truthfully say that there are some days that I struggle myself.
Always things to be thankful for…
We can all agree this year has been filled with many struggles. However, it is in the midst of these struggles we find God.

The Bible says, “in every situation be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus” 1 Thess. 5:18.
Whatever is going on in our lives. We should always remain thankful. Even when we have a problem or even a few problems, there are still things to be thankful for. A thankful heart is a happy heart so go ahead and make yourself happy by being thankful.

I have another fantastic and tasty recipe that literally uses some of your favorite ingredients from tacos with a few extras that your family will love. Taco Cornbread Casserole is an easy recipe that you can make in your crockpot which saves you time. So let me tell you this taco cornbread casserole makes my tastebuds happy.
Growing up my mom would make cornbread in a skillet. I loved her cornbread because of the crispy edges that made it extra yummy. I also loved eating cornbread with a little slice of butter but who don’t, right? I have to be honest with you. I have never tasted cornbread and milk. But, I tell you the idea of two of my favorites, tacos, and cornbread makes me happy.
So why not go a step further and add a layer of cornbread to your favorite taco ingredients. The best part about this recipe is you can make it all in the crockpot. The mixture of tacos and cornbread makes my tastebuds happy.
I remember back when my boys were little when I would often stay awake at night thinking about things that I wasn’t doing. For a few years, I was a single mom raising two boys on a teacher’s salary. I had so many worries. Do I pray enough? Am I reading the Bible enough? Am I a good enough wife? Is what I am doing as a mother enough? Do I exercise enough? Are you tired of thinking you are not good enough?
The Webster dictionary defines enough as “a sufficient number, quantity, or amount.” What is required?
Jesus is not sitting somewhere making a tally of the things that we are doing on a daily basis. However, Satan wants you to believe that you are never enough no matter how hard you try. On the contrary, Jesus wants us to know that with Him we are enough! Are you tired of not enough?
All He expects is for us to wake up each day and do our best! I am so glad that I learned that in Christ, I am more than enough!
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
Do you love tacos as much as I do? I think tacos are probably one of my favorite foods to eat. I am not alone because millions of people eat crunchy or soft tacos every day. Just thinking about today’s recipe makes me happy. I want to do the simple and easy taco happy dance.
There are a few differences between Mexican vs a Tex-Mex taco. For example, a Mexican taco involves using a soft corn tortilla, not flour, and topped with fresh cilantro and chopped onions instead of cheese. The Mexican taco is not spicy because you can add salsa to the top. Once you taste it, you will want to do the simple and easy taco happy dance!
Growing up, we didn’t have a Taco place near us. My mom would make homemade tacos. However, we would also have taco soup, taco casserole, taco dip, and taco lasagna. Simple and easy, right! I remember when my grandpa shared the recipe for his Mexican casserole. Since then, I have tweaked the recipe a bit to satisfy my hungry boys.
Today, there are so many yummy taco recipes that are so easy to make. You can pretty make different taco recipes every day of the week.
Taco Dance!
I love pears, especially in a dessert. Pears and apples are definitely in season right now. A neighbor was so nice to share some of her pears from her crop this year. I think you will love the tastes of Fall in this yummy apple-pear crisp recipe. The smells of Fall are amazing.
Pears have so many health benefits. For example, one pear provides 15% of our recommended copper requirement. The antioxidant in pears protects us from Alzheimer’s disease as well as helps keep the immune system strong. We definitely can use that this time of year. If you prefer pears without all the added sugars, you can certainly do that or you can bake them in the oven for a little tender pear.
A pear-apple crisp recipe is pretty simple to make. All you need to make this recipe are three pears and three apples, lemon juice, flour, sugar, brown sugar, oats, butter, and cinnamon. Focus is very important for moving forward. As I shared on Monday, I get distracted easily especially by the alerts on my phone. However, I equally allow my past to distract me. Leave your past mistakes for a promising future!
We miss out on what God has for us when we focus on our past mistakes. Ruth Graham, wife of Billy Graham states, “Every cat knows some things need to be buried.” I chuckled when I read this because it reminded me of how many times, I have let my past hold me back from moving forward. I will never leave my past mistakes and look to my future by continually dwelling on things that I cannot change.
I love this quote by Clara Barton founder of the American Red Cross says, “I distinctly remember forgetting that.” When you are reminded of your past mistakes just say, “I distinctly remember forgetting that.”
God doesn’t want us to beat ourselves up over our past mistakes. He wants us to move forward and continue with His purpose. So, leave your past mistakes for a promising future!
“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead” Philippians 3:13

Are you struggling with your focus? This year has certainly been a little crazy and I admit there are many days that I struggle to stay on target! What are you focused on?
For example, I know better but I still catch myself focusing on the breaking news instead of the good news. I confess it is so easy to get off track because of so many distractions.
If you are like me, you have notifications or alerts set on your phone whenever there is breaking news. I might be in the middle of something important but stop to check my phone. My focus is completely lost!
We tend to get distracted by things that don’t really matter. Focus is not always 2020. Therefore, I have to work on my priorities if I’m going to expect to receive God’s resources. I struggle with my focus!
Matthew 6:33 states, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
This week has been a busy one! So many things are going on right now. Just when you think things could not get any worse. Surprise! So, who are you listening to?
I am not here to share my opinion on politics. However, I am going to follow up with my answer to it all, Pray!
Have you ever heard the saying, “They say!” Who are “they and what makes them the expert?” What makes them trustworthy?
When you have a decision to make do you call a friend for advice or ask God?
Friends, we have someone to go to when we are feeling afraid, anxious, sad, frustrated, or even mad. God is always there and let me tell you, He is the good news!
You might be feeling alone or even afraid! God wants you to know that we don’t have to fear. He is in control!
John 16:33 states, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Jesus tells us that we will have trouble in this world, but we can find peace in Him. So, why not go to Him!
So, I ask again, “Who are you listening to?”

Apples are the best during the months of August through October! What is your favorite type of apple? This is the time to make your favorite apple recipes. One favorite around our house is the Cinnamon Apple Raisin Cake. I like to say it is a little healthier than just your typical cake, plus you don’t add the icing on the top. I switched up my recipe and added yogurt and coconut oil instead of vegetable oil. I liked it so much, I think I will try this combination with some of my other favorite baked goods. You will definitely want to try my cinnamon apple raisin cake.

Many times, we get angry with ourselves, but it appears that we are angry with everyone else. For example, I used to get angry if my house wasn’t clean before I left for work. The more I tried to have everything neat and tidy the worse it got! Needless to say, my boys were never interested in cleaning the house. So, I would take it upon myself to clean and clean and clean! No matter how hard I tried to make my house perfect, the more frustrated I got! My life was out of control. I was feeling insecure.
Maybe we try to control things in our lives because we are insecure. We want to be the perfect wife, mom, employee, etc. and when we aren’t, we become more and more insecure.
Repeat after me: Nobody is perfect! (Only Jesus)
You are not alone! Even Peter was so insecure, he denied three times that he was even with Jesus.
First, to get rid of our insecurities, admit that we have a problem and allow God to deliver us from these. God offers us security in Him!
It is not God’s will for us to be insecure. God loves us! No matter what we do, He still loves us!
“He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.” Psalm 40:2

I remember when I was a little girl and we would divide up into teams and play dodgeball on the playground. I was always one of the last to be chosen. Even if we are the last to be chosen, we can be happy anyway. God notices the people that nobody else notices. Therefore, we don’t have to live in fear of not being chosen because we are chosen by God. John 15: 16 says we are chosen, appointed, and planted…

Today’s keeping it simple all day, everyday recipe is one of the best tasting pumpkin bread that I have ever made. You are going to love this easy and delicious pumpkin bread. If you have kids, it is super yummy, quick, and kid-friendly. I love making pumpkin bread in the Fall. The smell of pumpkin bread in the house is amazing. My favorite pie is pumpkin pie! I used the Pillsbury brand box mix for this recipe. You can find the easy and delicious pumpkin bread mix at any grocery store. I purchased mine at Walmart. Plus it is definitely affordable if you are trying to stick to a budget. Remember, you can always make small loaves and freeze your leftovers. I truly think your family will love this recipe.

As we head into the fall season, what are you cooking at your house? Are you cooking weary? Since the Covid-19 more and more people are making homemade meals with their families. Others are choosing to either go for the deliveries or go through the drive-thru. While others are ordering fresh meals delivered to your home either ready to make or already prepared that can be popped into the oven and ready in minutes. It was projected that in 2019, over 800 billion would be spent in the restaurant industry. Before the Covid-19 we ate out more than we ate at home. Wow, that is a lot of money.
I do know that my love for cooking has waned a bit over the last months. I have become cooking weary. My once a week trip to the grocery store has turned into a quick order using Shipt or curbside pickup. Don’t get me wrong, I love to bake and will always love to bake. But, trying to decide what to fix for supper has become a daily chore.
is Don’t Give Up! Galatians 6:9 says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Keep doing what you are doing! Even when you are feeling cooking weary, do not give up! Let’s share ideas and recipes.

Too many times in my life, I made a decision without consulting God and then wondered why I struggled. God wants us to go to him with everything. Nothing is too small. I have a habit of constantly thinking about every issue and trying to figure out the answer which always wears me out. Are you feeling a little tired? God’s word teaches us to not rely on our own understanding. We need to put our trust in God which means we might have some unanswered questions. If we knew it all, we wouldn’t need God. So, sit back, relax, and put your trust in a God who knows everything!

Are you dragging around dead branches in your life? What does God want you to leave behind? In the fall, we see the leaves in the tree turn colors and eventually fall off the tree. Even the trees know that if they shed the dead leaves, they will eventually grow new ones. Just like the trees lose their leaves and need pruning, we also need dead branches removed from our lives. Ask yourself, what dead branches are you dragging around. For example, do you have a negative attitude or in a negative relationship? It is easier to just let God prune you and get it over with because you’re pruned if you do and pruned if you don’t. You will be so much better off!

We learn by listening to others. However, I think in this verse, James is also talking about listening to God. Our lives are filled with distractions. For example, our phones alert us whenever we have an email, text, etc. It is so easy to get distracted by all of the stuff in life and miss out on the important things. During this time, God wants us to take a pause and focus on the things that matter. Take time this weekend to disconnect from the distractions of life and focus on hearing from God.

Tests always come before promotion. Are you going through some hardships? I think we all have experienced a test of some sort this year. Sometimes I feel like this is all a bad dream and someday I will wake up and we won’t have to wear masks anymore. Well, that someday has not arrived but I believe it will. If this is a test, I want to pass this test and move forward. James offers us encouragement if we are steadfast and persevere through the hard times. We need to continue to do what is right even when it is hard. God rewards those who don’t give up in the hard times.

We moved to a different town when I was in the first grade. I cried because I had to leave my best friend and I never thought I would have another friend like her. I didn’t realize then that I already had a friend. Do you need a friend? We have a friend in God. He is always good and always listens.

What are you focused on? When we focus on ourselves or our circumstances, we begin to lose hope. Peter focused on the wind and the waves and he began to sink (Matthew 14:28-31). As soon as Peter focused on Jesus, he was able to walk across the sea. When we keep our focus on Jesus, miracles happen. Don’t focus on the wind and the waves!

As a young child, I remember playing hide and seek. I was great at hiding in places where no one could find me. Sometimes I feel like I seek but I can’t find God. Do you feel like God is hiding from you? Are you seeking God continually? Don’t give up hope! Have faith that God is waiting for you to talk to Him. Start this week expecting good things to happen. God is working even when we cannot see Him! Seek the Lord and His strength!

Do you feel like you are running a race? If you know me, I am not a runner. However, I think we can learn a lot from runners. They have a never quit attitude and of course, the main thing is endurance. God wants us to keep running our race even in the midst of trials. Most of all, our attitude plays a part in how long these trials will last. Have a never quit attitude. Don’t ever quit running your race!

Today’s keeping it simple all day, every day recipe is berry delicious as well as kid-friendly. I love muffins especially the berry flavored muffins. So, the berries make them healthier, right? These are so yummy and easy to make for breakfast or for an afternoon snack. Your kids will love them.
When my boys were growing up we didn’t eat a lot of cereal at our house. Some of their favorites included the cinnamon rolls, monkey bread, or muffins for breakfast. If we had leftovers, I would freeze them for later. Since I am home now, I am trying new recipes. I am keeping it simple all day, every day. So, it is back to the basics for me. I am making muffins and other recipes from scratch. I am praying that you are using this time to do something you love.
“Learn to sense what is vital and approve and prize what is excellent and real value.” Philippians 1:10
I have learned through all of this time at home that simple is better. We buy a lot of things we really don’t need which makes us work harder for more money. The most important things in life are put on the back burner such as time with family, baking our favorite desserts, trying new recipes, going to the farmer’s market, or watching a movie with my husband. Well, it is high time we simplify our lives.
1. Preheat oven to 425 and line 12 count muffin pan with cupcake liners.
2. Mix all of the streusel ingredients together and set aside.
3. Whisk the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl.
4. Use a mixer to beat the butter, sugars on high speed to cream together. Reduce to medium speed and add the eggs one at a time. Beat in the yogurt and vanilla. Lastly, add in the dry ingredients alternating with the milk. Fold in the mixed berries carefully. In a small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Put a couple of tablespoons in the bottom of each jar and press down.
5. Spoon the batter into the liners, filling them all the way to the top. Top each with streusel, gently pressing it down into the surface so it sticks. Bake for 5 minutes at 425 degrees then keeping the muffins in the oven, reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees. Bake for an additional 18-20 minutes or until inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the muffins to cool for 5 minutes in the muffin pans before removing.

Today’s keeping it simple all day, everyday recipe is both yummy, quick, and kid-friendly. I love to make icebox pies in the Summer. The key lime icebox pie in a jar is an individual serving that your kids will love. Even your big kids in the house will love it. If you worry about a jar breaking, you could use plastic cups or jars if you like. These are so cute and easy; you are going to want to make these over and over.
On Sunday evenings, we would eat a quick supper before heading off to the Sunday night church service. Lunch was usually a pot roast with potatoes and carrots. She would cut up the roast and we would have sandwiches. On Sundays, mom would also fix a dessert. One of my favorites was the lemon icebox pie, especially in the Summer. Since I tried Key Lime pie, I am now hooked on the tart and sour flavors of cream cheese and lime mixed together. If you don’t have key lime juice, then no worries just use lime juice. Through this time at home due to the Covid-19, I am keeping it simple all day, every day. I pray that you are making memories with your family and making the best of the time that you have together because life is short.

James 3:5 shows us how something as simple as our words can cause some major problems. When we put ourselves down, it causes us to live with a negative mindset. Words can help us or hurt us. It is important to ask God to help us chose our words wisely. Blessings!
1. In a small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Put a couple of tablespoons in the bottom of each jar and press down.
2. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, condensed milk, and lime juice. Beat with a mixer for a couple of minutes. Stir in the whipped topping. Evenly spoon over the graham cracker crust.
3. Top with a spoon full of whipped topping and refrigerate for an hour.

Are you praying for something such as a new job, healing in your body, a child, or maybe a spouse? We all have prayer requests, but sometimes it feels that God is not listening. We pray and pray, and nothing happens. Sometimes I feel like God is so far away and other times I feel Him right beside me.
Many people prayed for things in the Bible. For example, in 1 Samuel 1, Hannah made a vow and prayed for a son. She soon gave birth to Samuel. In 1 Kings 18, Elijah prayed for rain and seven times a day he told his servant to look for the rain. Finally, on the seventh time, the servant saw one cloud. Soon the sky turned black, and God sent the rain.
Hannah never gave up until God brought her a son. Elijah waited expectantly for the rain to come. They both had faith and never gave up. Likewise, if we pray for something we should not give up. Matthew 7.7 says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
First, we must have faith just like Hannah and Elijah that God will answer our prayer. We should then wait expectantly for the answer to come. Expectantly means getting up each morning saying that something good is going to happen today. You would be surprised at how a little positivity goes a long way throughout the day. Remember God is all powerful, and no one can close a door that God opens.
Happy Monday! 😊 It’s been a busy few weeks, so I haven’t been on here in a while. I wanted to share how prayer transforms our daily lives. Often, when things are going great, we forget to pray. Alternatively, we allow ourselves to become burdened by the many things going on in our lives and feel too tired to pray. I want to share the importance of prayer in my life.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” – Philippians 4:6 (NIV) 🙏
When I was younger, I thought my prayer had to be formal. Over the years, I have learned that I can talk to God anytime about anything. He actually cares about the little things going on in our lives. 🙏
Be Grateful! 🙌
When things are going well, we forget to stop and thank the Lord. Make it a daily habit to either say what you are grateful for or write these things down. ✍️
Communicate! 🗣️
We don’t have to pray fancy prayers. We can talk to God like we talk to our best friend. He wants to know about our day and, most of all, spend time with us. 💬
Guidance! 🧭
Before we make any decision, take time to ask God for guidance and wisdom. Before you even get out of bed in the morning, have a talk with Jesus. 🌅
Requests! 🙏
Pray for healing and protection for yourself and your loved ones. ❤️
