I’m Expecting Something Great Is Going To Happen Today!

I’m expecting something great is going to happen today!

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I spent the weekend doing the things around the house to prep for the start of the week. One think I enjoy doing on the weekends is spending time with my husband. It is important to stay positive in the middle of the chaos. I like starting off my mornings with the saying, I’m expecting something great is going to happen today.

What does faith mean to you? Faith to me means putting my trust in God and not trying to figure things out on my own. I spend way too much time trying to figure things out instead of praying about it.

When in truth, I should have confidence and hope for something great to happen everyday.

The people in the church in Colossians were known for their faith. Colossians 1:4 states, “Because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people.”

It would be amazing to be known for your faith and love for others. One of my favorite verse in the Bible is Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as a real fact what is not revealed to the senses]

Expect something great to happen today!

Here’s the great news, we can choose to believe God’s Word and be confident by faith that things will be okay even when we don’t see it.

Friends, have faith and expect something great to happen today!

It Seems Like Everything Is One Big Mess!

It seems like everything is one big mess!

Happy Monday! I hope that your weekend was great! Gosh it’s been so hot here. It makes me want to stay inside. Friends, how are you doing? It seems like everything is one big mess!

It’s been a bit rough at our house. First, our refrigerator went out. Second we had an ant outbreak. Lastly, we have had some issues with our air conditioner.

These and more are the things in life that try to steal our joy. When all of life seems to be falling apart and you think it just can’t get any worse, it does.

Talk about trouble, Jonah in the Bible sure had his share. God told Jonah to go to Nineveh to preach but he didn’t want to go. He headed in the opposite direction toward Tarshish. But oh my he never quite make it. You may know the story but Jonah ended up in the belly of the whale. Jonah was having more than a bad day. He was in a big mess. To read the story read Jonah 1.

Talk about a joy stealer. Jonah was probably as low as anyone can get.

It seemed like everything was one big mess!

Jonah started to pray. Jonah 2: 1-2, “From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the Lord his God. He said: in my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry. Sometime we forget to pray. In fact we try everything else besides going to God to ask for help when we should be doing that first.”

Sometimes we forget to pray. In fact, we try everything else besides going to God to ask for help when we should be doing that first.

Try including God in all of your decisions. He cares about what we care about. He just wants us to include Him in our lives.

Therefore, pray more and stress less!

We All Need A Little Grace To Make It!

We All Need A Little Grace To Make It!
We All Need A Little Grace To Make It!

Happy Monday! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend. In a world filled with a whole lot of confusion and chaos, we all need a little grace! Grace brings peace and joy to our lives.

For many years, I lived my life in condemnation. Every time I made a mistake, I put myself down. What I didn’t realize, that self condemnation was eating away at my confidence, peace, and joy.

What I didn’t realize then, was God gives us grace to forgive ourselves from mistakes. He doesn’t want us to live in condemnation. Philippians 4:7 states, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Do you show yourself grace when you fail and make mistakes?

When we are at our worst, we need God’s grace. Even at our best, we need to have God’s grace in our lives.

I figured out over time, that I need peace and joy from God to make it. In my own strength, I can’t do anything.

When we have the grace of God, we also have peace and joy in our lives. I don’t know about you, but I need joy and peace. Romans 14:17 states, “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

God offers us peace, grace, and joy everyday of our lives. Accept it!
