I Challenge You To Choose To Be Grateful…

Attitude of Gratitude
Attitude of Gratitude

I have often read that happiness is a state of mind. We can actually choose to be happy even in the midst of a storm. Even though, the struggle for a thankful heart is real. However, I find when I choose to focus on the things that I have, my attitude begins to change. I challenge you to choose to be grateful.

“For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:” 1 Timothy 4:4.

Focus on the positive…

When we have a grateful heart, we become stronger. Gratefulness is good for the soul and for our health. Have you ever found yourself singing songs of praise throughout your day?

I challenge you…

I challenge you this week to take some time to think about things that you are thankful for. Find creative ways to be grateful.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends! Thank you for stopping by and checking out my blog at kamzinsser.com.

I triple dog dare you…

Happy Friday! “A Christmas Story” is one of my favorite Christmas movies. In the movie, Flick and Schwartz argue over what would happen if someone should stick their tongue to a frozen flagpole, and Schwartz dares Flick to stick his tongue to the pole. Schwartz said, “I triple dog dare you.” This did not end up well for Flick.

Yesterday, I finished reading “Healing the Soul of a Woman” by Joyce Meyer. It was probably one of the most inspiring books that I have read in a long time.

When we make mistakes, we tend to focus on what is wrong with us instead of what is right with us. There are so many things that we do well that we should be focusing on.

God is full of goodness and through His grace and mercy all of our sins are forgiven and forgotten.

But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

I double dog dare you…

to start your day with something positive. Read and meditate on a Scripture. Find a book to read that is uplifting.

I triple dog dare you…

to make a list of things that you do well.

Lastly, give to God what you are not!!! Go ahead, I dare you.

Blessings to you today.

One way to change your life forever!

Do you feel like God is wanting you to make a change? Is there one thing that you could do to change your life forever? What are you doing with your time? Friends, we have so much beauty just outside of our homes. Are you taking this time to stop, relax, and smell the roses?

One way to change your life forever-Finding Meaning

For example…

this past week, I walked around my yard and took pictures of the beautiful flowers. I noticed on social media others are doing the same.

I spend a lot of my time…

in the kitchen so I decided to look for some easy crockpot meals to save me time. Do you love to bake? I am having a terrible time finding yeast. If you have been able to purchase yeast, let me know. I baked banana bread a couple of weeks ago. Who doesn’t love banana bread? I tried baking bread without yeast and let’s just say it wasn’t the same.

One thing…

that I am doing on a daily basis is listening to uplifting podcasts. I love Joyce Meyers and Steven Furtick. Let me know your favorites. To stay positive throughout my day, I am learning to change my focus.

Changing our focus will change our attitude in our waiting. God calls us to live in peace in every situation.

How do we live in peace? We call out to Jesus throughout the day.

Help me, Jesus!

Solomon spent his life searching for meaning but ended up being disappointed, frustrated, and exhausted. We can spend our days searching for the meaning behind the Coronavirus, but it will only frustrate us and cause anxiety.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 says, “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.”

Meaning is not found under the sun but in the Son. Spend time focusing on things that are edifying and build you up.

Change your focus and you will change your life forever!
