Happy Monday! I hope that everyone had a great weekend.
Ephesians 3:13 states, “So I ask you not to lose heart at my sufferings on your behalf, for they are your glory and honor.”
Friends, are you going through some difficult times? It seems that everyone that I encounter is experiencing some storms in their life.
In the above scriptures, Paul was in prison for preaching the gospel. He wanted the people to know that he was enduring the difficult times for them. He knew that God would use this difficult time for His glory.
When we are in the middle of difficult times, it can be so easy to give up. God does not want us to give up. He wants us to pray with boldness and confidence.
James 5:16 states, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
Prayer is the most effective way to fight our battles.
Blessings to you!
Happy Tuesday! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend. We spent the weekend with our granddaughters and kids. It was an amazing time with the family.
How many of you enjoy waiting for something? I sure don’t! I can remember when my boys were little and they did not like to wait especially to open their gifts at Christmas.
Are you praying for something and still waiting for it to happen? I do think the key in waiting is having a good attitude while we wait. But, that is super hard!
Romans 12:12 states, “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
Psalm 27:14 states, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
So what do we do while we are waiting? The first scripture says to be in constant prayer. We should never give up on praying and spending our time with God. God also says to rejoice! This may be the hardest but one of the most important parts of waiting.
The second scriptures states, “be strong.” I admit that many times I have said, “I do not feel strong”. These are the times that God takes over. He does not expect us to be strong all of the time. He wants us to rely on Him. He has it all figured out!
Just wait and see!
Happy Tuesday! I hope that everyone had a great Memorial Weekend and took time to honor those who lost their lives in our nation’s wars. I am so proud to live in America.
How was your last week? Are you feeling frustrated, discouraged, or disappointed? Are you tired of trying?
I admit I get frustrated when things don’t work out the way I think they should. Can anyone relate?
This past week I have been thinking a lot about grace. What is grace? Why do we need it?
Grace is the power to overcome all of life’s struggles. Grace is God’s power.
In 2 Corinthians 12, Paul pleaded with the Lord three times to take a thorn in his flesh. God answered, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Paul delighted in hardships because “when I am weak, then I am strong.”
If you are tired of trying, exchange your trying for trusting. His grace is all that you need. You got it!
