You Got This!

Happy Monday!

Do you like confrontations? People run away from many different things such as problems or their past.

When I was younger, I hated confrontations and I avoided them if at all possible.

However, I learned over the years that issues were never resolved by running from them.

Jonah ran away from God’s call on his life and ended up in the belly of a big fish (Jonah 1). God called Moses to face Pharaoh but instead he fled and lived in Midian for 40 years. (Exodus 2:15).

We need to be courageous and brave. Look at Deuteronomy 31:6, It says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Are you running from something to avoid a confrontation? Don’t spend another day in the middle of the wilderness or the belly of a big fish. God wants us to be strong and courageous and stand up and face the giants. God promises to never leave us or forsake us.

You Got This!

Have a wonderful week!

Running Out!

Happy Thursday! Have you ever been afraid that you were going to run out of something? I can remember worrying about running out of money before the end of the month. People are afraid they are running out of time, joy, money, food, etc.

This has been a productive week at work, but I feel tired. I spend too much time worrying that I am not good enough or I am not doing enough. All my worrying is wearing me out. Does this sound familiar?

I listened to two sermons this week on this passage in John.“On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:1-5). Wow, this hit me right between the eyes.

Maybe you are afraid of running out of something today. We already know what to do but we just don’t want to do it. Some of us have things that we need God to do now. Instead of running to the phone, go to the throne!

God is already making a way where there seems to be no way. God already has a plan, but we must seek Him.

Friends have a blessed weekend!

Shake it off! Part 1!

Are you giving power to fear and anxiety? Do you have a plan when the negative thoughts fill your mind?

Thoughts of negativity come our way no matter how hard we try to stop them. We experience storms of life no matter how much we pray. Fear’s greatest trick is “what if.”

I like the statement by Joyce Meyers, “worry is a down payment on a problem you may never have.” Wow, that really hit me hard.

In Acts 27 and 28, Paul went through many storms. Paul was arrested and handed over to a centurion named Julius. They boarded a ship and before long a storm came up with “a wind of hurricane force.” After being battered by the storm for three days, they all gave up hope. However, in verses 23 and 24 of Acts 27, the angel of the Lord appeared to Paul and said, “Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all that sail with you.”

God was with Paul!

Friends are you going through a storm today? Have you given up hope?  I believe God wants you to know that no matter what you are going through He is there with you.

Don’t give in to worry and fear. God will be with you. He is the God of the valleys too!

Blessings to you!
