Hope is more than a four-letter word!

Happy Monday! Wow, here we are in May and Summer is almost here. I am ready for the sun. Today I am talking about hope which is more than a four-letter word.

We all go through tough times! In fact many times, we go through storms that was not in the forecast.

However, if we get up each morning thinking our day will be partly cloudy with a chance of rain, that is what we will get. Expectations and hope go a long way.

Otherwise, when we hope, it puts joy in our heart. Every day is a new day!

Deuteronomy 31:6 states, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Hope is more than a four-letter word! It motivates and encourages us to keep moving forward even when we don’t feel like it.

Your first thought in the morning can determine the rest of your day. So why not try something new and radical.

Expect something good to happen!

Psalms 27:14 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Friends, thank you for taking two minutes out of your day to be uplifted. Please stay in touch every week! I would love to pray for you. If you have a prayer request, please send me a message at kamzinsser.com

Some days it’s hard to live by faith!

Happy Monday! I can’t believe we are nearing the end of April. Friends, I think everyone I know has experienced some challenges in the last year. Some days it is hard to have faith.

I share a tip with my students throughout the term to help them get through their challenges, “take one day at a time.”

I confess, this was not an easy process. I tend to spend my today worrying about tomorrow. But faith is our cornerstone.

1 Peter 5:7 says, “cast all of your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

This scripture resonates with me. It is a daily sometimes hourly decision to cast all of our cares on the Lord! I tend to cast and then take them back.

However, in order to enjoy today, we can’t worry about tomorrow! It is important to live by faith one day at a time.

Matthew 6:34 states, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

I pray you have a blessed week! Have faith!

Hope is more than a feeling…

Happy Monday! What does hope mean to you? I admit I struggle with keeping my hope up when all around us it feels like things are falling apart.

Just when you think you have it all together, something comes along and rocks you to the core. How do we continue to have hope when we are going through the most terrible circumstances?

When we plant a garden, we spend time tilling the soil, preparing the seeds, planting the seeds, and watering the seeds. We get up everyday in expectation that something will start to grow from all of our hard work. We have hope!

What is it about people who are happy all of the time? They are filled with hope!

Hope is more than a feeling!

Romans 5:2 says, “By whom we also have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in the hope of the Glory of God.”

Romans 12:2 says, “rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Both of these scriptures mention being joyful in hope. We can be joyful because there is hope for tomorrow. I am learning to take one day at a time!

My joy is not in my circumstances. My joy is in knowing God!

Hope is based on the evidence of what God has done in the past.

Get your hopes up! Make hope a daily habit!
