Stop being worried or anxious about your life!

Do not worry!
Stop being worried or anxious about your life!

Happy Monday! We celebrated our youngest granddaughter’s third birthday on Saturday. It was a great day! Today I am talking about worry. With all of the chaos in the world, there is so much to worry about. Many of my friends never seem to worry. I have always been a worrier. I remember when my boys were growing up, I worried about so many things that I just couldn’t control. Today, I made a decision: I will stop being worried or anxious about my life!

Matthew 6:25 states, “Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?

When we worry, we are harming ourselves and not obeying God. Worry takes years from our lives.

When we refuse to worry, we have more peace, hope, and confidence. God knows exactly what we need and will provide for us.

So reject worry and trust God! He will never let you down.

It’s definitely not always easy to do what is right…

It’s definitely not always easy to do what is right…

Happy Monday! Today, I am so grateful that I can write this blog as a way to encourage everyone! It is hard to know what is right? Right is wrong and wrong is right and it is definitely not always easy to do what is right.

So, how do I know? I was reading Proverbs 14:2 and it says, “Whoever fears the Lord walks uprightly, but those who despise him are devious in all their ways.” Wow, there is so much truth in this one verse. Let’s take a minute to unpack the truths in this verse.

My parents taught me to respect my elders. I instilled this same lesson of respect in my kids as well. But more importantly, I need to have a reverential fear of God. This doesn’t mean that I fear that God will hurt me. On the contrary, it means that I want to do all I can to please God!

How do we know what is right? I have pondered over this one for many years now. The lines between right and wrong have blurred even more over the last few years.

But first, we must change our thoughts in order to change our behavior. According to God, right-thinking comes first, and right actions follow.

Proverbs 14:6 states, “knowledge comes easily to the discerning.” Discernment comes through waiting on God and thinking about the right actions to take.

Romans 12:2 states, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.

Folks, many times in my life I have made wrong decisions because I didn’t wait on God. I followed random thoughts instead of seeking God.

Ask God for help in all of your decisions large or small. Do what God tells you to do!

Friends, thank you for taking time out of your day to read my blog. If you haven’t made Jesus, Lord, and Savior of your life, I invite you to do so. God is a life changer. He saved me and He will do that for you too! It is so simple, just talk to God like you talk to your best friend. Ask Him to forgive you for your sins and come into your heart! He will do it! I encourage you to talk to God right now! Don’t wait!

A few ways to change your focus to help you stress less!

A few ways to change your focus to help you stress less!

Happy Monday! This past weekend we visited our granddaughters and celebrated all of the wonderful dads in our world. Life is short so take the time to celebrate big and small things in your life. Today, I am providing a few ways to change your focus to help you stress less!

Stress is a tricky thing. It can sneak up on you and turn your world completely upside down. I remember when I was growing up and my grandfather would always ask me, “what do you know?”

As a young girl, I always felt compelled to tell everything that was happening in my life, good and bad.

My youngest granddaughter loves puzzles. She looks at each piece closely and studies them. She focuses on every detail in the puzzle pieces until she has it all put together.

What are you focused on? My focus determines my stress level. When I focus on my problems, my mind and my heart fill with fear and frustration.

Hebrews 12:2 says, “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Colossians 3: 2 says, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

Psalms 103 encourages us to remember all of the benefits of God! Gratefully thank and praise God for all of His goodness!

Friends, today is the day to change our focus! We have so many things to be grateful for! Please continue to follow my blog at kamzinsser.com.
