It’s not always easy setting priorities!

Happy Monday! This week I am talking about setting priorities. Do you get distracted easily? Me too! I make a to-do list for the day, but it is a struggle to stay on task most days. It’s not always easy setting priorities!

I was listening to my morning podcast and one of the topics this week was about making God first in our day and lives.

It is challenging to spend that time with God when we pack our schedule so full. Many days, I am literally running around doing all the things and forget to make time for God.

I find that my day goes so much better when I make that time in the mornings to pray, read, and meditate on His word. When I am doing life with God!

Friends, we are constantly in a battle. What does that look like for you?

It may just be a battle for our time or a battle of the mind. No matter what it looks like it is real.

We must spend time with God so we can fight these battles.

2 Samuel 22:30-35 states, “With your help, I can advance against a troop; with my God, I can scale a wall.”

Without God, I couldn’t make it through my day. But with God, I “can scale a wall.” Friends, we can make it through with God.

Let’s do life with God. Our days will go so much better. Subscribe to my weekly blog at kamzinsser.com

Now is the time to turn the light up!

For goodness sakes, turn the light on!
For goodness sakes, turn the light on!

Happy Monday! I hope that your week is off to a great start. I love this time of year. It is a bit chilly in the mornings but perfect by afternoon. This week, I am sharing some things I do when I feel a bit stressed. It can get pretty dark when we are stressed and overloaded. Now is the time to turn the light up!

My circuits are overloaded on many days. I have too many things planned for my day. By the end of the day, I am more than tired and way too tired to read my Bible.

I know that I am the one in control of my schedule. If I have too many things planned, I can make a change.

My day goes a whole lot better when I start my day with God. That may look a little different every day.

  • Devotion
  • Podcast (I listing to Joyce Meyer)
  • Bible Study
  • Prayer

When I stay plugged into my energy source which is Jesus, my light burns bright.

John 8:12 states, “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

I may get physically tired, but the word of the Lord gives me the energy I need to make it through whatever life brings.

Keeping the attitude of gratitude throughout my day, helps me focus on the good not the bad.

Are you feeling a little tired today? Now is the time to turn the light up!

Our energy level affects our hope!

Our energy level affects our hope!
Our energy level affects our hope!

Happy Monday! Our energy level affects our level of creativity, desire, and motivation. When we are tired, we have a tendency to let fearful thoughts creep in. Our energy level affects our hope!

1 Timothy 6:12 states, “Fight the good fight of the faith [in the conflict with evil]; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and [for which] you made the good confession [of faith] in the presence of many witnesses.”

If we allow fearful thoughts to come into our minds, these thoughts can drain our energy. On the days that I am the most tired, I have allowed fear to creep into my mind.

Let’s face it, it is so easy to do when we are surrounded by chaos. The things in the world can suck the very life out of us. Our energy level affects our hope!

However, God gives us the ability to reject fear. We all feel fear. But before we let it take control of our minds, we can reject it!

Trade the feelings of fear for faith. Timothy ultimately made decisions based on faith, not fear.

Declare today I will reject these feelings of fear. I will remain in hope! When we make decisions based on faith, our energy level will increase and we will push past our feelings.
