He Doesn’t Want Perfection From Us!

He doesn't want perfection from us!
He doesn’t want perfection from us!

Happy Monday! As I enter the Fall season, I feel like I am running a race. The month of July went by so quickly. There is always so much to do. I try really hard to get everything done. However, I always seem to come up short. I fail to realize that it’s not God that wants me to be perfect, it’s me! He doesn’t want perfection from us!

Colossians 2:13 states, “When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (worldliness, manner of life), God made you alive together with Christ, having [freely] forgiven us all our sins.”

Are you feeling tired? Yeah, me too!

As I read Colossians 2:13 this week, I pondered how this applied to me. It was a great reminder that God’s forgiveness is never ending. He already knows our thoughts and decisions. So, all of these are covered.

He wants a heart that truly loves Him!

I don’t know about you today, but I need a daily reminder of this. I don’t have to be perfect for Jesus to love and accept me.

In Christ, I have what I need and find my value and worth.

Why Is It Important To Keep Watering?

Why is it important to keep watering?
Why is it important to keep watering?

Happy Monday, friends! I hope that you have had a good start to the month of August. When I think of August I always think about the start of school. Pray for all kids who are starting school soon. This week, I am talking about why is it important to keep watering?

When we think about watering, we think about watering our seeds that we plant whether in a garden or in a pot. This year, I started a small garden that yielded a few tomatoes which made me feel accomplished. If I had forgotten to water, my tomato plant would have died.

Just like we water seeds that become plants and yield fruit, we can grow spiritual seeds by watering with the Word of God.

Colossians 2:6-7 states, “Continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught overflowing with thankfulness.”

To be strong in the Lord we must continue to water seeds with the Word of God.

Our faith is built when we study the Word of God and rely on that Word every day.

Keep watering and don’t give up!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Be strong in the Lord.

One Thing I Know To Be True!

One thing I know to be true! Isaiah 40:8
One thing I know to be true!

Happy Monday! We are now into August and Summer is almost over. I don’t know about you, but I am ready for some cooler weather and we need rain badly. This week I am talking about the truth! So many things are happening around us. But, there is one thing I know to be true!

The internet has made spreading ideas and thoughts so easy. When we have a question, we go to the internet to look it up. Don’t get me wrong, I love being able to find information so quickly. However, just because I can find it quickly doesn’t make it true.

One thing that I have been thinking about lately is the truth. Many people say things have changed so what was truth many years ago is not necessarily the truth today. I do agree that some things have changed over the years.

However, Isaiah in the Bible testified many years ago, “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.Isaiah 40:8.

One thing I know to be true is God’s word never changes.

What does this mean? We can go to God’s word and believe in His promises. We can trust that God will take care of us and will always be with us.

Focusing on these truths will get us through any storm we face.

Friends, I would like to pray for you today. If you are feeling worried or anxious one of my new favorite songs that I listen to is by Cody Carnes. I hope you will take a few minutes to listen.
