The minute I realized it, it was a life changer…

Happy Monday! I hope that your weekend was fantastic. This week I am talking about something that I learned the hard way. The minute I realized it, it was a life-changer.

The mind is a tricky thing. Our actions are a direct response to how we think. For example, Proverbs 23:7 states, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…” If we think negatively, we will have a negative life. If we purposely think positively, we will have a positive life. The minute I realized this, it changed my life.

Friends, it isn’t always easy to think positively. The Devil is a liar and he tells us things about ourselves, people, and circumstances that are not true. As soon as we wake up the Devil fills our minds with suspicions, doubts, fears, wonderings, and reasonings.

For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood, but against despotisms, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenlyEphesians 6:12.

If we dwell on these thoughts, we become weak, and if we aren’t careful we lose our hope which is right where the Devil wants us. “HOPELESS

Being positive in a negative situation shows that we trust God to bring about good. In Romans 4:18-20, Abraham didn’t ignore the bad but he trusted God and had hope in faith.

Hope is the force that keeps us steady. Hebrews 6:19 tells us, “we have this hope as a sure and steadfast anchor…” Just reading this verse gives me hope. Friends, this is life-changing news!

No matter what you are facing today, don’t give up! Place your hope and faith in God!

And just like that, Easter is over. To some, it’s just a day filled with Easter eggs and chocolates. When it’s over, we go back to living our busy lives.

But to me Easter is more than a day. Easter is so much more.

Yesterday we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus our Lord and Savior. We can have hope because Jesus is alive!

We will battle hopelessness in our lives, however we must never give up. Because, hope is powerful.

After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts His blessing and favor], who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be]1 Peter 5:10.

I love this scripture. In the last year, we have gone through so much and just when we think it’s over, something else comes up. But knowing that God will take care of us through it all gives us hope.

Hope is the expectation that something good is going to happen.

Choose to believe that God is going to do something better in your life, even when you don’t feel like it.

God is greater than anything we go through.

How to start your day off right!

How to start your day off right!

Happy Monday! I pray that you are well and enjoying your Monday. Last week was far from normal. Over the last year and a half, I have learned so much. But most importantly, I have learned how to start my day off right!

Every day…

Every day that we are given is a blessing so we should make the most of each and every day. Psalms 118: 24 states, “This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad.”

It is hard to rejoice when we are worried about our electricity going off and having no water. Through it all, I found myself looking for things to be thankful for.

Starting our day with God will give us the strength to make it through anything that comes our way. “I can do all things through Christ that gives me strength.” Philippians 4.13. Our strength is found in God.

How do I start my day off right?

  • Before you even get up out of your bed, pray.
  • Take some time and read the Bible.
  • Listen to a podcast. There are so many great ones but Joyce Meyer is my favorite.
  • Put on some praise and worship music as you get ready for work.
  • Read a devotion.

I hope that you have a blessed week! Thank you for checking out my blog today. Remember to come back every week to check out my blog at kamzinsser.com.
