The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing!
Hello friends and happy Monday! I hope your weekend was great. With all of the chaos around us, it is so easy to give up. However, faith brings endurance.
Last week, our refrigerator went out and we lost some of our food. Second, we had some electrical issues. Lastly, we had a fire ant outbreak in our kitchen. Just thinking and writing about these problems makes stresses me out. It would have been so easy to give up but I had to deal with it.
James 1:2-4 provides some hope when we are dealing with trials. Our attitude is key when going through trials. I think James must have realized that and through it was important.
“Consider it nothing by joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trails. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing.” (James 1:2-4)
Friends, we all go through trials and oh my goodness they are painful. However, these trials develop the character of Christ in us. Praying our way through these trials may not make them go away any faster but will give us the strength to endure.
My attitude and relying on verses such as Philippians 4:13 is key to getting through all of my trials.
God will not leave us stuck in our troubles. Without the test, there will never be a good testimony. Trust God because He will never let us down.
Friends thank you for stopping by my blog today. I pray you will persevere through all of your trials.
Happy Monday, friends. As we near the end of April, I hope that the month of May will be amazing. This time of year, I love seeing the flowers grow. In fact, I take time out of my day to take pictures of flowers growing in my yard. Many of you may be planting a garden or maybe some flowers. You planted a seed now what?
This year, I am trying to grow a few vegetables in pots on the back patio. When you plant a seed, it is so hard to wait and I admit that I am not very patient.
No matter how hard I try to hurry the growing process, I cannot do it. If I were to try, I would only be frustrated.
Mark 4:26-27 states, “He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.“
Friends when you plant a seed, we can’t see what is going on under the soil. We have faith and trust the seeds we plant will grow into something beautiful.
We spend time watering our seeds and waiting.
This same principle applies to our lives. You planted a seed now what?
You may not feel like you are moving forward and you may actually feel stuck.
We grow so gradually that we can’t see the growth. I can tell you, that God is working. If we ask God to help us, He will.
Don’t give up! Keep moving forward. Celebrate the harvest!

Happy Monday friends! I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend. As I write this, I am preparing for a visit from our grands. Social media is a wonderful tool for everyone to stay in touch. However, it is also a place where we spend too much time comparing ourselves to others. We are not called to compare ourselves to others!
Many times, I start my day out reading about the amazing lives of all of my Facebook friends which is not a great way to start a day.
This leads me to start thinking about all of the things that are wrong with me instead of all of the things that are right with me.
I forget about the problems that everyone is going through. Let’s face it, we all have problems.
Even Peter compare himself to others, “Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me” (John 21:22).
The bottom line, I am supposed to compare myself to other people. When I do, it brings condemnation to my life.
We are all uniquely and wonderfully made! Focus on God’s wisdom and goodness!
Thank you for stopping by today. Tune in next week at kamzinsser.com for more.
