The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing!

Thankfulness is the key that opens so many doors!

Romans 8:28
Romans 8:28

As we begin the month of November, it is hard to believe we are so close to Thanksgiving and Christmas. But, I am so thankful for so many things today. Over the years, I have realized that thankfulness is the key that opens so many doors!

Numbers 11 talks about the Israelites and their journey. Even after they were delivered from slavery in Egypt, they wanted to go back. Their attitudes were so bad they spent 40 years in the wilderness.

“When the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and the Lord heard it; and His anger was kindled…” (Numbers 11: 1).

When I think about all of the times that God has blessed me, I am truly amazed. However, it is on many days that I find myself complaining about small things.

In truth, complaining is just human nature. We have to make a conscious effort to not complain when things don’t go our way. Thankfulness is the key that opens so many doors!

As we move into the Thanksgiving season, I want to have a good attitude. God promised us in Romans 8:28, if we will continue to pray, love Him, and want His will, things will work out for our good.

I have faith that no matter how hard things get, God will work things out for our good. It. is a guarantee!

I am starting a thankful book. I hope that you will start one too! Every day write things in it that you are thankful for. When you have a bad day, go back and read all of the good things that God has and is doing in your life!

What are you thankful for?

Now is the time to turn the light up!

For goodness sakes, turn the light on!

Happy Monday! I hope that your week is off to a great start. I love this time of year. It is a bit chilly in the mornings but perfect by afternoon. This week, I am sharing some things I do when I feel a bit stressed. It can get pretty dark when we are stressed and overloaded. Now is the time to turn the light up!

My circuits are overloaded on many days. I have too many things planned for my day. By the end of the day, I am more than tired and way too tired to read my Bible.

I know that I am the one in control of my schedule. If I have too many things planned, I can make a change.

My day goes a whole lot better when I start my day with God. That may look a little different every day.

When I stay plugged into my energy source which is Jesus, my light burns bright.

John 8:12 states, “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

I may get physically tired, but the word of the Lord gives me the energy I need to make it through whatever life brings.

Keeping the attitude of gratitude throughout my day, helps me focus on the good not the bad.

Are you feeling a little tired today? Now is the time to turn the light up!

We need a little hope right now!

Happy Monday! There is a chill in the air. I love the Fall season. I believe new seasons bring hope. We all need a little hope right now!

These times require us to focus on God, not on the chaos. The Psalmist was discouraged in Psalm 43:5 says, “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Thus, we can get easily discouraged by all of the chaos in the world.

I believe that Jesus wants us to be encouraged today. Staying encouraged means having hope.

Psalm 42:5, “Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become restless and disturbed with me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall again praise Him.”

We need a little hope right now.

Hope produces joy, song, and faith.

Don’t give up on hope.
