The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing!

It’s Me Again God, Can You Hear Me Now?

Happy Friday! Today is the last day of February and we begin March tomorrow. All of us have been going through things over the last few years. These past few month have been really hard. Do you find your prayers starting something like, it’s me again God, can you hear me now?

In my studies this week, I came across the scripture on worry and anxiety. As I discussed last week, it is so easy to fall into fear and worry. Where does this worry come from?

Fear and worry takes over when we take our eyes off of God! The reason people operate on zero energy is because they cancel their prayer power by giving in to the negative power of worry.

Anxiety can cause a poor signal in our prayer life. It’s me again God, can you hear me now?

Colossians 1:4 states, “for we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus [how you lean on Him with absolute confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness], and of the [unselfish] love which you have for all the saints (God’s people).

To have this kind of faith means we believe that God will do what needs to be done for us.

  • Whatever we cannot do, God will do!
  • When we don’t know, God knows!
  • We can trust whatever God does in our life is for our good!

When we rely completely on God, instead of on people, this kind of faith brings peace and blessings to our lives.

Philippians 4:7 states, “And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].

God can hear you! Pray about everything instead of worrying and God will take care of you.

It Is Too Easy to Allow Fear To Take Over!

It Is Too Easy to Allow Fear To Take Over!
It Is Too Easy to Allow Fear To Take Over!

Happy Monday! I hope that your weekend was great. Did you know that fear is mentioned 365 times in the Bible. You could actually read a scripture every day about fear. One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 91. Without the truths that we find throughout the Bible, it would be so easy to allow fear to take over!

Do you ever feel afraid? Just the news alone would make you feel afraid.

Psalm 91:2 says, “I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust,”

David is saying that God is his refuge and his fortress and he will put his trust in God.

God is our refuge and our strength!

What are you saying about God? Are you putting your trust in God every day? We often claim to believe that God is our refuge and fortress but do we say this out loud?

When we don’t proclaim these truths out loud, fear will take over!

One thing I try to do every day is proclaim these things truths from the Scripture out loud.

When we verbalize the goodness of God, we are taking aggressive action against the enemy.

Say aloud the things that are in your heart! Put your trust in God because he is trustworthy!

Tell God you trust Him! Proclaim His goodness over your life!

We Need God’s Love, Protection, and Guidance!

Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope that you were able to spend time with your friends and loved ones over the weekend. My husband and I celebrated Valentine’s Day at home. However, I made chocolate covered strawberries which is always a treat at our house. If you are feeling uneasy today, this blog is for you. Friends, in a chaotic world, we need God’s love, protection, and guidance in our lives.

Are you feeling a little uneasy lately? One of my go to passages in the Bible is Psalm 23. If you haven’t memorized it, you should do it today.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever (Psalm 23: 1-6).

Why should we allow the Lord to be our Shepherd? Specifically, He leads, protects, and guides us. But only if we allow Him too. He will not lead you down the wrong path.

We need God’s love, protection, and guidance in our lives.

If you are going through trouble in your life, God will restore your soul. Restore means to bring back to its original condition. I like the sound of that!

I don’t know about you, but I need that restoration from God every day.

If your heart is hurting on this Valentine’s Day, take comfort in God’s love. His love is unfailing and He never gives up on you.

Likewise, continue to grow stronger by filling up on God’s word every day. This is God’s plan for your life.
