My passion is to educate, motivate, and provide hope to women of all ages. You are not alone!
Happy Monday! I hope that your weekend was great! Gosh it’s been so hot here. It makes me want to stay inside. Friends, how are you doing? It seems like everything is one big mess!
It’s been a bit rough at our house. First, our refrigerator went out. Second we had an ant outbreak. Lastly, we have had some issues with our air conditioner.
These and more are the things in life that try to steal our joy. When all of life seems to be falling apart and you think it just can’t get any worse, it does.
Talk about trouble, Jonah in the Bible sure had his share. God told Jonah to go to Nineveh to preach but he didn’t want to go. He headed in the opposite direction toward Tarshish. But oh my he never quite make it. You may know the story but Jonah ended up in the belly of the whale. Jonah was having more than a bad day. He was in a big mess. To read the story read Jonah 1.
Talk about a joy stealer. Jonah was probably as low as anyone can get.
Jonah started to pray. Jonah 2: 1-2, “From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the Lord his God. He said: in my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry. Sometime we forget to pray. In fact we try everything else besides going to God to ask for help when we should be doing that first.”
Sometimes we forget to pray. In fact, we try everything else besides going to God to ask for help when we should be doing that first.
Try including God in all of your decisions. He cares about what we care about. He just wants us to include Him in our lives.
Therefore, pray more and stress less!

Happy Monday! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend. In a world filled with a whole lot of confusion and chaos, we all need a little grace! Grace brings peace and joy to our lives.
For many years, I lived my life in condemnation. Every time I made a mistake, I put myself down. What I didn’t realize, that self condemnation was eating away at my confidence, peace, and joy.
What I didn’t realize then, was God gives us grace to forgive ourselves from mistakes. He doesn’t want us to live in condemnation. Philippians 4:7 states, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Do you show yourself grace when you fail and make mistakes?
When we are at our worst, we need God’s grace. Even at our best, we need to have God’s grace in our lives.
I figured out over time, that I need peace and joy from God to make it. In my own strength, I can’t do anything.
When we have the grace of God, we also have peace and joy in our lives. I don’t know about you, but I need joy and peace. Romans 14:17 states, “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
God offers us peace, grace, and joy everyday of our lives. Accept it!

Happy June! Summer is always a time of rest for me. I love all the tastes of Summer such as the snow cones and the homemade ice cream. Friends as we head into the Summer season, don’t worry, it’s never too late to make a change!
Friends, it is never too late to do a little Spring cleaning. Summer is probably my most favorite time to do some Spring cleaning.
In the same way, we clean out our homes, we can actually clean up our unhealthy habits. What unhealthy habits is God asking you to clean out? I admit that I tend to struggle with worry. Many times, I lay my worries down and then go back and pick them up.
It is so easy to get caught up in our worries and forget we have access to someone that takes our worries away. Don’t worry, it’s never too late to make a change.
Isaiah 41:10 states, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
The Bible tells us to not fear because God will give us strength. At the foundation of my worries, is fear. I know that I need to trust God, but sometimes it is so hard. I know that God loves me so much because the Bible tells me. However, there are times that I don’t feel loved.
When I truly allow the Word of God to seep in my heart, I feel God’s love. But when I put up walls, I don’t!
Luke 12:24 states, “Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!”
Friends, we are valuable to God. He loves us so much.
Instead of worry, concentrate on the love of God today.
