Our hope is in the Lord!
Happy Memorial Day! I hope that you spent time with your family over the weekend or today. All this past week I have stayed focused on this statement: Everything will be alright!
Last week I talked about staying positive. I know that it isn’t easy to stay positive in the midst of a storm. Wow, it seems like we go through storms every day. It just doesn’t stop.
One of my favorite scriptures is Romans 8:28. “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” The scripture doesn’t tell us that all is good but “all things work together for good.
Recently I had the opportunity to practice this principle. I went to a local fast-food restaurant to pick up breakfast. I waited in line for 20 minutes before I was able to order and pay for my food. A few minutes later, a person came to the window and proceeded to refund my money. She insisted I take the money because of the wait. I finally received my order but it was a least a 45-minute wait.
I could have allowed that to upset me and frustrate me for the rest of the day. A negative person would have. A positive person would have been grateful for the free breakfast and went on about the day. I knew everything will be alright!
It is so easy to allow our emotions to take over and give up. However, it is just as easy to say, everything will be alright.
Give God all your worries and in return, He will give you His peace. Don’t worry about tomorrow because we have all we can take care of today.
I’ve listened to “Be Alright” by Evan Craft and Danny Gokey all week.
I hope that you will take a few minutes to listen to this song. As you go through the storms this week, remember God’s got the whole world in His hands.

Happy Monday! I hope that your weekend was fantastic. This week I am talking about something that I learned the hard way. The minute I realized it, it was a life-changer.
The mind is a tricky thing. Our actions are a direct response to how we think. For example, Proverbs 23:7 states, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…” If we think negatively, we will have a negative life. If we purposely think positively, we will have a positive life. The minute I realized this, it changed my life.
Friends, it isn’t always easy to think positively. The Devil is a liar and he tells us things about ourselves, people, and circumstances that are not true. As soon as we wake up the Devil fills our minds with suspicions, doubts, fears, wonderings, and reasonings.
“For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood, but against despotisms, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly” Ephesians 6:12.
If we dwell on these thoughts, we become weak, and if we aren’t careful we lose our hope which is right where the Devil wants us. “HOPELESS”
Being positive in a negative situation shows that we trust God to bring about good. In Romans 4:18-20, Abraham didn’t ignore the bad but he trusted God and had hope in faith.
Hope is the force that keeps us steady. Hebrews 6:19 tells us, “we have this hope as a sure and steadfast anchor…” Just reading this verse gives me hope. Friends, this is life-changing news!
No matter what you are facing today, don’t give up! Place your hope and faith in God!
Hello friends! I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend! My husband and I spent some time with our granddaughters last week. It was an amazing week. However, I confess I am feeling a bit weary.
In 2020, we had the lockdown. We are well into 2021 and many people are still in lockdown and feeling a bit weary.
Can we get a break for a minute?
I confess I am feeling a bit weary and it would be easier to stay in bed on most days. Life is a struggle!
It seems most people are feeling a bit weary and struggling with something. If we aren’t careful, our struggles can literally consume us.
Over the last year, I have experienced the truth of Isaiah 40:29. “He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might. He increases strength.”
When I am tired, the Holy Spirit gives me the energy to keep going. I have hopes and an expectation that no matter what comes my way, something good is going to happen.
God has called us to be kind and loving toward others even when we don’t feel like it. Even if that is simply putting a smile on our faces and staying positive.
If you are tired, ask and trust that God will give you the strength you need for the day.
