Our hope is in the Lord!
Happy Monday! Friends, are you feeling a little discouraged today? We face so many giants in our lives. Hope is something we desperately need today!
In Psalm 42:5, the psalmist is discouraged. “Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become restless and disturbed within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall again praise Him. For the help of His presence.” It is so easy to get discouraged by the chaos in the world.
Three things we find in this verse the Psalmist did. First, he asked, “why he was in despair?” Second, then he instructed his soul to “hope in God.” Third, he declared that he will “again praise Him.”
Discouragement destroys hope! Without hope, we give up which is what the Devil wants us to do.
What kind of thoughts do you have? Do your thoughts and words sound like these? I am not going to make it. I am ready to give up.
What are you thinking about? Have a little talk with yourself today! Hope is something we desperately need today!
God is our hope! He will never let us down. It may seem like things are falling apart but God has everything in control.
Psalm 42:11 tells us, “…Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him.”
Take hold of hope and don’t let it go!

We live in a chaotic world. However, I believe that we can still be happy in the midst of a storm. Fear is something that I fight on a daily basis. Today I am talking about one way to overcome fear in your life.
Whose life are you living? Are you living the life that you want to live or someone else’s life? Are you a people pleaser? It is time to live our life doing what God wants us to do not what others want us to do.
Fear is something that makes us back down from things we want to do in our life. It steals our happiness!
When I quit my job I was worried I wouldn’t find another job. When the Covid hit, my fear increased. It was a daily battle that I overcame by doing what I could do and leaving the rest to God.
I love this scripture, Psalms 118:6 “The LORD is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”
Confidence doesn’t come easy. In fact, sometimes it is a daily battle to get up in the mornings and feel confident enough to make it through the day.
However, I have found that the more time I spend with Jesus the more courageous that I have become. I don’t hesitate to ask for help throughout the day. I cannot do it alone!
Friends the only way to overcome fear in your life is to put your faith and trust in God! He loves you so much.
1 John 4:18, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

Friends, HOPE is the strand that keeps us moving forward through every adversity! Stop thinking this is never going to end!
Hope keeps us in a positive frame of mind. One of the worst things we can do is to think is this is never going to get better. This is a lie from Satan!
Instead, say this is going to end well! Or say tomorrow, things will be better. This positivity will calm down all of the fear and negativity in your life.
Having a positive attitude or outlook doesn’t mean all of the pain goes away.
Pain can be a lonely place. However, we are never alone! Stop thinking this is never going to end!
God knows exactly what we are going through! He sees all of the pain and the tears. God doesn’t promise to deliver us from all of the pain. But he does promise to be with us while we are going through it.
Psalm 139:1-5 says, 1.”O Lord you have searched me, and have known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up [my entire life, everything I do]; 2. You understand my thought from afar. 3. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And You are intimately acquainted with all my ways. 4. Even before there is a word on my tongue [still unspoken], Behold, O Lord, You know it all. 5. You have enclosed me behind and before,

And [You have] placed Your hand upon me.
Friends, God is always with you. Stop thinking this is never going to end. Don’t give up.
Look at what you have, not at what you don’t have. Count your blessings, not your problems.
Look at how far you have come, not at how far you have to go!
Stay hopeful!
