The Most Powerful Position You Can Have!

The Most Powerful Position You Can Have!

Happy Monday! Christmas is almost here and there is still a lot to do. I hope that you are having a wonderful week. This week I am talking about the most powerful position you can have!

One of the things that have struck me this Christmas season is the lack of joy and peace. If I take my focus off of God for one minute I start to feel anxious.

Anxiety causes me to lose my joy and peace. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

It is so hard on many days to focus on the good. However, when we do, we are promised peace and joy. It is the most powerful position you can have!

Nehemiah 8:10 says, “Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

As we near Christmas, don’t let the worries of the world steal your joy. Jesus came to the earth and was born in a manger. Jesus brought peace and joy to the world and will continue to bring us peace and joy.

Luke 2:10-11,And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”

Peace gives you power!

It is truly the most powerful position that you can have!

Therefore, pursue peace and joy! Expect good things to come in 2022.

Thank you for following my blog every week. You are simply amazing. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

It’s Supposed To Be The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Matthew 11:28
Matthew 11:28

Happy Monday! I hope that you are having a great week. December is always a mad dash to complete all the things. This week I am talking about the Christmas season. It’s supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year!

I do love Christmas because we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. We sing all of the Christmas songs and decorate our houses.

One of my favorite Christmas songs is “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!”

During the Christmas season, we struggle with managing expectations and family issues which causes more stress. How do you manage everything especially this time of year? It’s supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year!

In Matthew 11:28 Jesus tells us to, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Even more so now, in this busy season, we need to take time to rest in knowing that we can never do enough.

I believe God wants us to come to Him and be assured that we are accepted because of what He has done for us.

When we do so, we can truly experience freedom from the worry and stress of not doing enough.

I want to be at that place where I can celebrate and truly enjoy the most wonderful time of the year!

Will you join me in this time of rest?

I need just a minute, please!

I need just a minute, please!
I need just a minute, please!

Happy December! This past week I took some time to decorate my home for Christmas. Many of the ornaments that I put on the Christmas tree holds special memories. Taking time to treasure special memories in a world filled with nothing but the noise makes my heart so happy. This week I am talking about needing a minute.

Last week I talked about learning more in the quiet. If you missed my blog last week, you can find it here.

I started the book of Luke a few days ago. One verse that stood out to me was Luke 2:19, “But Mary treasured all these things, giving careful thought to them and pondering them in her heart.”

In a world that is full of chaos and change, have you caught yourself saying “I need just a minute, please!”

I remember when my boys were little and it seemed like every time I was busy, they would bombard me with questions. I needed a few minutes to think.

Now that my boys are grown, I have more time to myself, but life never slows down. Chaos is everywhere we turn.

The noise keeps us from the good things.

In Luke 2:19, Mary didn’t wonder why these things were happening around her. She pondered the good things of God in her heart.

I need a minute to ponder the good. What would our lives be like if throughout the day we spent a minute pondering the things of God? How would our lives change?

Take a minute, be still, and ponder what God is doing in your life.

Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

All we need to know is God has everything in control. He will never fail you!
