Life Is Filled With So Many Amazing Things!

Luke 12:27

Hello Friends and happy Monday! I hope your week has started off great. I have often thought of Mondays as days to reset. Do you enjoy Mondays? This week I am talking about how life is filled with so many amazing things!

Lately, I have been doing a lot of thinking and talking to God.

One thing I love about the Spring season is the many beautiful treasures that God provides such as the wild flowers on the side of the road. I took a short road trip over the weekend and I was so happy to see the bluebonnets in bloom.

Do you enjoy the bluebonnets? What is your favorite wildflower?

Life is filled with so many amazing things!

Luke 12:27, “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.”

When we take time to admire all of the wonders that God has provided, we would realize how much He loves us. Just think about that!

Make time for God not only in His word but in the beauty that He provides.

Talk to you soon.

Tips On Staying Focused In The Busyness of Life!

Tips on staying focused in the busyness of life!

Happy Spring and happy Monday! Friends, I can’t believe we are already in the Spring season. Spring is probably my favorite season of the year. Life doesn’t seem to slow down. Today, I am sharing tips on staying focused in the busyness of life!

1 Peter 5:8 states, “Be sober, be alert and cautious at all times, that enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

How do we stay focused in a busy world?

Distractions are everywhere. Just when I think I’ve set an appointment with God, something comes up.

Spending time with God takes a purposeful effort. Once you make a decision to spend time with God, the enemy will throw all kinds of distractions at you.

Here are a few tips to help you stay focused.

  1. Find the time of day that you are at your best. Morning is the perfect time for you to spend time with God if you are a morning person. If you enjoy staying up late, make time for God then.
  2. Make an appointment with God and find a quiet place. I didn’t see the importance of this until a few years ago.
  3. Keep a notebook or journal handy. I keep a notebook on my nightstand at all times. I also carry a notebook with me when I go out.
  4. A little is better than nothing. We think that spending time with God means spending 2 hours in prayer. That is not true. If you have the 2 hours then that is great. If you have 30 minutes then make the most of the time you have.
  5. You are never too busy. We tell ourselves that we are just too busy to make time for God. We make our own schedule. Make time for God!

I believe, if we would implement these tips on staying focused in the busyness of life, we would see a big change.

God help me to not get distracted by time wasters!

Worry, Worry, It Seems That’s All I Do!

Matthew 6:34
Worry, worry it seems that’s all I do!

Happy Monday! It is the last few days of February. I’m ready for March. This week I am talking about something that is near and dear to my heart and mind: worry, worry, it seems that’s all I do!

If you watch or read the news any at all, you understand how I feel.

When I put negativity in my mind, I start to get anxious. When my kids were little, I worried about everything. My thoughts were “once my kids were grown, I wouldn’t have to worry anymore.” Wrong!

Matthew 6:34 states, “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

So, how do I stop worrying?

I can tell you it isn’t easy. I believe it is a thought process change. It is a constant casting our care on the Lord.

I start my day with giving my thoughts to God by reading the Word and praying.

I have found that throughout the day, I need to talk to God. Things always happen in my day that tempt me to take my problems back.

Philippians 4:6-7 states, “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Find scriptures about worry in the Bible. Write them on sticky notes and put them on your bathroom mirror. When you start to worry, read these scriptures over and over. I promise it will help you.

Thank you for taking time to ready my blog today. Talk soon!
